I'm not sure whether what I experience is what people refer to as freezing.
I have what I call "go slows" - I am fully aware of what is going on around me and I can hear people talking (usually wondering what to do about me) but I can't really communicate clearly and can't move - like wading through mud. These episodes can last for several hours and are often associated with

Does anyone have any reliable information about ZANDOPA?
I was planning to start with a small amount of Zandopa and
Sinemet
CR
. I have a post it from my internet searches that 2.2g of Zandopa is equivalent to 88mg of levadopa.

Problems with medication
Recently, I noticed my PD symptoms were getting much worse. I was becoming forgetful, doing some really weird things, more shaky in general and in pain. I also noticed I was losing my hair by the handfuls, so I went online and checked the side effects of Sinemet. Yes, hair loss was one of them. So were

RLS meds initiate RLS symtoms before suppressing them?
After several years of taking RLS medicines, most recently Rapinerole and now Sinemet (Carbidopa-Levo ER) both in combination with small dosage of Clonazepam. I often find about 20 minutes after taking the medicine the symptom of kicking occurs before the medicine then finally suppresses the kicking.

Is hair loss a possible side effect of Sinemet?
I have been on Sinemet since July and my hair has become very thin and getting thinner. I have a lot more difficulty now with various things, like getting dressed, then I did prior to diagnosis. My doctor isn't much help, not returning calls. Not at all sure what I should do.

Has anyone tried Mirtazapine for eating and anxiety problems? Hubby has PD with severe dementia and was taken off of Sinemet and Namenda
because doctor said they were no longer working. His appetite is way down probably because he has a hard time eating and he gets frustrated and agitated all the time. Dr. said this med might help with issues. Wondering about any side affects and if anyone has had any luck with this medication.

Coconut Oil, Lauric acid, and Cholesterol
There had been several posts in the past few months discussing benefits of large doses of coconut oil for relieving portions of PD symptoms. One of the issues that has come up from time to time is the question of the impact of taking a large dose of the saturated fat in coconut oil on one's overall health

Medical Marijuana...Parkinson's
Marijuana oil..Try it you have nothing to lose but you might be like me and experience better sleep less tremor and a reduction in meds, Sinemet. I ingest a rice size morsel before bedtime and a tiny bit when I take a pill,it works for me.

Is too much Sinemet harmful?
13/11/13. I am now 76 had tremor intensive PD since 2001. Started on Sinemet Feb 2012, 3x100, 5 hr apart, increased to 150 after 9 mo. Started wearing off march 2013 after 1.5 hours. Neuro seems stumped so I have started experimenting. For some reason my mornings are still OK - better than off-time.

Sinemet is not for me and worsened my walking pattern. Caramet (same active ingredients) had a really positive effect.
When I started taking Sinemet a year or two after my diagnosis in 2006, my walking pattern deteriorated further. By chance I was transferred to Caramet which really used to give me a boost and was eventually increased to 2 x 3 tablets per day, Now in 2013 its effectiveness seems to have weakened to

Does anyone know of any other uses for Sinemet besides Parkinson's or Parkinsonism traits?
I'm a Registered Nurse although I do not have a back ground in neurology. My neurologist put me on Sinemet about two months ago the drug works wonders for me, it takes away my stiff neck and stiff back symptoms most of the time and my tremors stop when I take the medication on time and regularly, my

Is Sinemet And/Or Other Allopathic medications For Parkinson's Disease actually a chemical stressor on the nervous system?
It seems to me that there are a lot of people who are taking medications which stop working or are not helping but then are causing other problems like withdrawal symptoms and other side effects. what do you all think?
