diagnosis and symptoms
Hello everyone - first post and looking for feedback. I have been low in B12 for some time. I would go to the doctor and told I need to take a supplement or a jab but no one ever looked into why I was deficient so I thought nothing of it. Fast forward to June of this year and I feel terrible - low B12

It is worth persevering!
I thought fellow RLS sufferers would be interested in the following sequence of events. Following advice from people on this website I wrote the following letter to my doctor: "Dear Dr C, I have suffered with severe Restless Legs Syndrome for four months now, often not being able to get to

Seeking info about impact of B12 deficiency in GI and digestion and changes in GI symptoms post B12 deficiency treatment
I watched 5 hours of resource videos on the PA youtube site, mainly a conference, and I came across some interesting slides that showed the small intenstine vili and cells of the GI tract before and after B12 injections. They healed! From what I understand, B12 deficiency can result in DNA replication

muscle stiffness
Hey guys, I am dealing with some of the side effects of a b12 deficiency. I am still awaiting the results from a blood test, testing for intrinsic factor. Most of my symptoms have improved a lot but I am left with a burning pain all down my leg, off balance and most importantly speech difficulty.

Update on “20 years old and Scared”
Hey guys, roughly 11 months ago I posted in this group worried to death about my unspecified polycythemia diagnosis. You guys provided me with so much support during that time, even though I was a bit shy to respond to comments after a couple of days. Well, I was tested for the JAK2 gene which came back

Help with diagnosis (GP) and anyone sought help from private healthcare?
Hi, I recently learned about PA after googling my comprehensive blood test results recently. I joined the PA society this weekend and I have found myself here after chatting to a lovely lady in the helpdesk there. I am a wellness coach and have some knowledge of nutrition and improving resilience holistically

help with iron results please?
hi everyone, I have just had my medichecks results for my iron levels and wondered if I could kindly have some opinions/recommendations. I know they aren’t terrible but I am trying to increase my NDT and want to have as little issues as possible when trying to raise. Would you recommend trying

IMPORTANT: Nicotinamide riboside (or NAD+ or Tru Niagen) may be involved in neoplastic and metastatic processes
Some of us were taking nicotinamide riboside for RLS. A few days ago a paper was published with data suggesting it could be involved neoplastic and metastatic processes. Hence, please take this in consideration if you were taking nicotinamide riboside. Here is the reference: A bioluminescent-based

Seemingly a sudden drop in ferritin but is it really?
15/08/22 Ferritin 236ug/L (13 - 150) Quite a bit over range, so I’m puzzled that a mere 12 weeks later - 16/11/22 - according to the new reference range it has suffered a significant drop to 39% through Yes, I immediately stopped iron supplementation but I continued with acerola to aid with food

A loud, proud, lonely ride
She's rickety, an old yellow school bus no one knows how to fix With loose, rattling seats A freed bolt vibrating on the metal floor Rattling loud and groaning, a teeth clenching ride It's the prednisone in the gas that keeps her running And even though she ain't what she used to be She's my only

Moviprep and hashimotos
Hi. I have the delightful experience of a colonoscopy to look forward to. On the prep info it says that people with thyroid disease should check with their gp before taking the stuff. Has anyone used this prep?

Hello all, I've posted before and was advised to get a full set of blood tests and post the results here for the Thyroid experts :) to look at and advise on what else I might try to combat my fatigue. Here goes (blood taken Monday this week): ! Serum TSH level - (NWM2358) - Abnormal but improved
