Iron blood test results

I recently had a full iron panel done. I would be grateful if I could get some feedback on my results.

I gave up vitamin c and my multivitamin patch which contains iron a week before my blood test.

Your ferritin levels are good. Ferritin keep your iron stores. 

TIBC measures the amount of transferrin proteins for iron to bind to, so keeps iron from being free (which is toxic),  and transports iron around the body. Your result is low which is common in people with autoimmune disease because the proteins are effected by inflammation and other immune system dys-regulation. 

Therefore, even though CRP is low this is only one measurement of general inflammation so can’t eliminate other forms of inflammation are present within the body. 

T/S% is a calculation to give quick reference of how iron is working. Yours is artificially raised because of the discrepancy between serum iron levels and transferrin protein carriers. To assess how iron is actually working you would need a FBC to see health & levels of RBC’s, and haemoglobin.
