Vaccines, or not, incl flu jabs

Reoccurring chest infections since 2012- any advice and solutions?
Reoccurring chest infections since 2012- been reading threads on here about this as a lot of people seem to pinpoint their first chest infection in 2012- is this just coincidence or is there a prevalent strain in london at that time? I've had 3-4 chest infections per year since then- had one at Christmas

New, safer vaccine for shingles
Coming soon, Shingrix by Glaxo has much greater efficacy and is a recombinant rather rather than live attenuated vaccine like Zostavax, so fewer risks for MS or MS-ers on an immunosuppressant DMT.

Asthma suddenly worse after 30 years of being well
Hello everyone and happy new year, I'm hoping to get some advice. I had bad asthma in childhood but it's been well controlled with a preventative inhaler since my teens, with only occasional use of my blue ventolin puffer. I'm 51 now and caught a bad cold at the start of December (despite a flu jab

About the Shingle and pneumonia vaccine
As for the
shingles
vaccine
, we recommend M.S. Patients stay away from live vaccines (such as the
shingles
vaccine
) because it can potentially increase an immune response.

Methotrexate and shingles

Shingles
Is anyone planning to have the new shingles jab for the +70s? As I've just reached that magical age I booked the jab for tomorrow at my local surgery. Quite by chance I read the pred notes that come with every prescription. In there it states that if you are taking pred you should keep away from people

The Shingles vaccine debate - and PMR
The Zostavax
vaccine
can also cause
shingles
. Notice the CDC says that the
vaccine
is effective for about half the population age 60 to 69, but only provides “some protection” for older groups.

Confused by what nurse told me
After years of wheezing and then struggling to breath I was told I had Asthma, but the inhalers had little effect. I moved doctors and when I asked about a program for my Asthma I was sent to the practice's nurse. I had several tests and then more tests a couple of months later, I had to blow in to a

Hi everyone! I'm after a bit of advice. Flu jab
I was meant to have the flu jab a couple of weeks back and I didn't. I had it last year the day before Christmas Eve and felt so ill. Even putting the pressies round the tree the next day brought me out in a sweat...and I felt fluey all over Christmas which obviously spoilt it a bit with fibro on top
