Flu jab
Does anyone know if it is ok to have this year's flu jab as I understand it is different to last year's?

What is the best advice for psoriatic / RA and the flu jab
My local GP surgery have just advertised this year flu jab sessions! I would be extremely grateful for people's advice regarding such a jab whilst taking 20mg MTX and likely zero positive psoriatic arthritis. Thank you for reading Nathan

SLE & Pneumococcal vaccine ?
Hi! My GP offered me a Pneumococcal vaccine. When I asked if it's live he said yes but NHS says otherwise: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/pneumococcal-vaccination/ Has anyone had an adverse reaction to it? 🍂 🍁 🍄🌻🐿xxx

Is new beefed up flu jab good for us RA sufferers?
Boosting the immune system is usually a no no for us. Has any work been done on balance of risks/benefits for us?

Home from physical today
I have to have blood work done (forgot to fast which I usually try to do before these appts..sigh). Dr's nurse did an EKG as he does that for most patients nearing 40 (I've had one for at least the last 3 years). I am getting a referral to get a mammogram again this year with a history of breast cancer

Polymyalgia + Shingles
I have PMR and read 'keep away from people with shingles' - I had a shingles vaccination. What are likely complications?

Nasal Atomiser, Asthma Thought
As many will know, it’s believed around 80% of Asthma Exacerbations could be triggered by Rhinovirus (Nasal) Infections. Some folk will already be regularly using Nasal Flushing in the hope of reducing infections but, personally, I consider doing so a bit ‘too severe’, as our Noses already produce there

Leflunomide and Neutropaenia
Following on from recent post Im about to start wash out for Leflunomide. Have had to stop meds due to low neutrophils (0.7). RA nurse has said to have low tolerance for contacting GP or 111 if I feel more ill than I already do and to avoid people who are ill and maintain good hygiene. My question is

Could the Flu jab switch on RA
It got me thinking, not that it caused it and as my grandmother had it and life style but was it the final nail that blow it full on??? As it was the first time I have ever had the flu jab and it was the swine type they were giving out read this on net Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most common

Beware of Shingles (Shingrix) vaccine!
I had an appointment with my Rheumatologist a couple of weeks ago and she advised me to have a
Shingles
vaccine
. She said the new one is ok for people with Lupus. My brother in law had recently had Shingles and it was terrible for him so I thought, ok, I'll do it.

Immunizations galore
My haemo has me set up to get a shingles shot and two pneumonia shots, because of my immune system being potentially lower due to the hydroxyurea. Public health nurse says I should also get a meningitis vaccination and an updated tetanus shot. All this before I even get my annual flu shot in the fall

Hi all, just a reminder to get flu jab before 11am for maximum efficiency. (Previous posts examined proof of studies and proof.) Best regards.

Flu Vaccine when pregnant
Hey guys, Does everyone get a flu vaccine when pregnant? I have always been a bit scared to get it - but I presume it is necessary when pregnant?? I am due to discuss with my GP next week and unsure what to think. Xxx

Diagnosed 2013, surg, March 2014 surg for two more small tumors, BCG treatments 6, then 6 more, fast forward to scope last month, so far no CA. Great physician and care. Kept the faith. 👍🏻

Shingles with muscle spasms
I've had shingles for about 8 weeks from my spine around to my navel. Recently muscle spasms in my stomach have started. They are nearly constant. Is there anything to be done about the spasams?

Back to Mitomycin not BCG
Hi everyone Just to update I had my second turbt (7 in total) after the reoccurrence on Monday. I’m happy to say that there’s no new growth and the path report was NED 😀as the previous one was so small and G1 I’ve been recommended to continue with 3 monthly check ups and mitomycin. A relief I must
