If I was you Hun I’d go to your walk in clinic , or ring epu if your doctor can’t help you . I’m sorry you feel so unwell I’m actually ill at the moment throat ears and nose and paracetamol don’t help so I’ve started drinking fresh hot lemon and honey to ease my throat. I hope you get well soon xx

I’ve got Hyperemesis and was concerned that my baby wasn’t getting enough vitamins etc but was reassured by the EPU that at that stage (spoke to them when I was 7 and 8 weeks), these little ones are like parasites. They are first of all very small and don’t need much at all, but secondly they will take from your body what they need. It is your own body that may then lack certain vitamins but the baby gets everything first, so not to worry.

Also, maybe a steam bath might help? I mean where you put your head over a hot bowl with camomile tea in it, and a towel over. I had horrendous sinusitis when I was pregnant with my daughter and due to pregnant AND allergy to penicillin we were running out of options in terms of anti biotics. That for a few days really helped with my head.

For the pain, you can get much stronger stuff that’s save via your gp than paracetamol. With my first two kids I had to be on co-codamol for lengthy periods of time and it’s fine. You won’t get that over the counter though.

Go back to the Gp, don’t suffer unnecessarily!

Unfortunately go is fully booked again to day I had a hot bath last night and that has helped loads touch wood. Just got more of a bad cough now 😩 ribs are all hurting from where I’ve been coughing and sneezing still gonna have honey and lemon and a steam bowl as I think of I ignore it now it will come back worse off

Thank you for your comment xxx

I hope you feel much better soon again!

Take your vitamins before you go to sleep, they stay in your body longer that way and have more time to be absorbed.

Honey and lemon, steam your head, ginger biscuits (helps with nausea) plenty of fluids and lots of rest. First trimester is hard work anyway between the morning sickness, fatigue, hormonal adjustment, to be ill on top of that is horrible, be kind to yourself xx

Thank you and yeah doing myself loads of veg with my dinner tonight and using the water from veg to make gravy so I get all the vitamins naturally aswell its all fun. And games pregnancy I’ve had a wonderful 7 weeks no sickness then the last few days I feel like a victim of the plague

Gargle warm salt water for a sore throat. Im pretty much in the same boat now, and surviving on honey and lemon, salt water gargles, paracetamol, and steam baths. If you have the heating on then a small bowl of water with a few drops of olbas oil or vapour rub in balanced on the radiator in your bedroom can help x
