Shingles vaccine
People in the uk, don't shoot me. Instead, lobby the nhs to cover the Shingrix vaccine which is over 90% effective, and much more effective in older people than Zostavax. Also because it is not a live vaccine it is more appropriate for people on immune suppressing medication. If in the US you can

Is there a link?
Is there a link between having natural immunity to TB and not contracting Covid19?The reason I ask is that 7 colleagues and a lot of children are off with the virus at the school I work in. However myself and one other colleague were talking and it appears that neither of us needed the BCG (TB) vaccine

Flu vaccine / covid booster
Hello everyone! I am 40 years old and 13 weeks pregnant. I am due for my Covid booster and I have an appointment in 3 days for the flu vaccine, too. Shall I take a break between them? And how much? I had also Covid on 1st of November, I am first time pregnant and really worried. Thank you very much

Do I start Interferon?
Hi everyone I have always been under a certain amount of pressure to start meds for ET cMPL but have resisted up to now. I have had two high platelet counts in the last three years and my average count over the three years not including the spikes has been 590, I actually swing between 530 and 650.

Has anyone had worsening thyroid issues or problems after taking the Flu vaccine and the Covid-19 vaccines?
I just wondered if anyone else has had the same issues after having the flu or covid vaccines? I had my flu vaccine last November 2020 and was left unable to weight bear on one leg or use my arms properly for almost a week. I called my surgery the day after having it and was told to wait a few days as

CATCH UP & DEXA SCAN
Hello everyone, well my skinned shin eventually healed, it was infected and I had to take antibiotics, but after seeing the surgery nurse and it being covered for a good few weeks it did heal. It has left a scar and strangely aches sometimes. I had a DEXA scan early November and I have Osteopenia. I

Life with Ectopics - 20 years old
Hi, my name is Abbie McDonald, and I am currently 20 years old. I have had heart issues, specifically ectopics, for over 6 years now. My story is quite long but I will do my best to summarise it all. It all started after my HPV vaccine at school in Year 10. Following the jab, I came down with cold

Shingles
After 5 weeks on methotrexate, I've got the dreaded shingles. I was diagnosed at an our of hours GP on Sunday and left a message for my rheumatology team on Sunday and then emailed the secretary there yesterday. I usually take my methotrexate on a Sunday and adalimumab on Friday. I was hoping someone

Long Covid
Hi Everyone, could only happen to me. After struggling for so long with my Thyroid symptoms, I decided to see a private endocrinologist. Wish I’d done it a lot sooner. The best thing was, he sat there and listened to both me & my husband for nearly an hour. No yawning like my Gp. He’d gone through all

Delayed reaction to COVID/flu jab
Many thanks again for such an informative resource! My partner had his COVID jab AND the flu jab (I know!) on Saturday 13th November with no immediate side effects. 9 days later, on Monday, he came down with flu/COVID type symptoms. Since then he’s been going hot & cold, not sleeping, aching, fatigued

An update rant apologies in advance
Well all has been going good since last update, my last mail scan showed improvement from the one before the left over swelling is reducing slowly but assured its normal and expected. Taken the slow approach back to driving since the all clear from doctor and dvla just timing things so I miss the rush
