B210k started - Samantha is DEFINITELY not Laura!
At last, after the
shin
splints
, ice, snow, etc., this afternoon I got started on B210k training. It would have gone better if my iPod hadn't kept jumping ahead onto week 2. Week 1 was quite enough to think about!

Skin cancer and drugs
Hi, Sorry to ask this but i was wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with skin cancer (non malignant) since being on drugs for R/A. The reason i ask, today i went to see a dermatologist and he said a small red spot on my shoulder was basel cell cancer and is going to remove it. I am just wondering

Back running again....but maybe not for long!
Hi all, Went out this evening to do a repeat of week 5 run 1 as I haven't been running for over 2 weeks due to
shin
splints
and a horrible cold. Previously I had just finished week 7 which I felt great about, so a bit disappointing to stop as you can imagine.

Hi All, just wondered if anyone experiences this:
I get pain in my hip area which then goes down to my knee, from the knee it feels like
shin
splints
and the side and top of my ankle down to my toes hurt so bad I can hardly walk. I have had this once before back in December and again now. What can it be and is it related to fibro?

Recommendations for B210k, please?
Fully recovered from
shin
splints
and back up to where I was before they struck.... With the New Year I'm thinking of extending my running distance and would love your suggestions as to a good B210k training programme. I don't know where to start, so would really value your advice. Thank you!

SHIN PAIN - Could it be shin splints?
I've heard of the terrible '
Shin
Splints
' and im scared i will have to give up my new found hobbie! The pain is quite bad when im stretching afterwards, but it goes quickly, within five minutes of stopping. It doesn't hurt later that day and it doesn't hurt me the next day.

W2R2 and shin splints
I completed my my second run of week 2 tonight but I am sure I have
shin
splints
:( I am going to be so disappointed if I have to stop the programme as I am not having any other struggles at all so far, and have really enjoyed following the podcasts.

Problem with nails
My nails are so awful, the usual hypo ridges some even look like they might crack. I also have noticed a few dents in the middle of a couple of my nails. The bed of my nail where the cuticles grow are looking red and raised on some of them and the skin splits. Another strange thing is some of the

grrrrrr, bloomin' school kids
So I played around with some different styles, landing differently (managed to start the
shin
splints
off, so adjusted that very quickly), using my arms more, and pushing more from my glutes.

Green tea does not suit everyone!
Hi my husband has been hypothyroid for over 17 years. For the last 5 or 6 years has been very lethargic and lacking energy to such an extent that he has had to reduce his working to two days a week. I (not hypothyroid) was recently advised to drink green tea by a dermatologist to help scar healing

Still here, still running....just.....
I struggled with a dodgy knee/hip and
shin
splints
there for a time. Plus dark mornings and bad weather did not encourage me out of the house. Then I realised all my clothes were getting a little tight...ummmm maybe I was getting a bit couch potatoey again. So last week (before New Year, yay!!)

Results confirmed thyroid cancer
Well, following my hemithyroidectomy on 2nd Jan, it was confirmed for me this evening that my lump was in fact Papillary Thyroid Cancer. I feel as though I knew this news was coming, but don't know a lot about it. So if anyone can offer anything positive I'd be really grateful. Any handy hints welcome

Fungal nail treatment
I have what I think is a fungal nail infection in one of my fingernails. I am reluctant to take yet more oral medication due to the state of my liver. Anyone found anything else that gets rid of it?
