Yes, it can be part of APS.

Have not heard of this term - what does it mean?

Yes it is a part of this disease. If you are on the proper dose of warafin you should notice a lot less splinter hemorages.

Hi, for those asking, splinter heamorrages are little bleeds that show up under finget nails, they look just like splinters

I'm a physician (not sure what a medic is)

Yes, they can be part of APS. I know of one patient who was diagnosed on this symptom alone - she had a very sharp doctor to notice that. She was also in her 60s so I'm not sure whether it is an age related feature?

I am 30 & frequently have flare ups for at least 5 years where 1-10 of them will show up at a time. I have had them before & during anticoagulation.
