Black toe nails?
I have psoriatic artritis & my two big toe nails have gone completely black.. They are thicker in appearance than the rest of my nails and are very sensitive to pain.. Has anyone else had nail problems. And what can I do as my rheum said it's a fungal infection and I know it's not!! Thanks

How dangerous is sedation or general anesthetic?
My guy is set to have a procedure that it usually done under anesthesia, but can be done, with some discomfort of course, with local anesthetic only. I have heard many stories of psp patients - and others - who suffer irreversible loss of intellectual functioning after anesthesia, but am I overreacting

Aussie Ticks come with different risks
Regular CLL Forum readers would be familiar with warnings about the risk of getting Lyme Disease from ticks However in Australia, no causative agent for this illness has been isolated from local ticks or wildlife, and the most commonly encountered tick in Australia has been shown to be unable to transit

W4R3: done!
Part of me worried about
shin
splints
/stress fractures there too but as it comes and goes in various locations on the leg, I'm guessing just muscle soreness/tightness.

The last couple of weeks I've really gone downhill, I can't wake until mid morning, low mood, swelling, really weak arms,
shin

, restless legs, lethargy, and a complete CBA attitude (sorry!)

For those of you just starting and filled with trepidation.....
As the programme builds up your stamina and strength, I've had very little knee problems (in fact, the worst difficulty was
shin
splints
). My wife (who is a Parkrun addict) is now worried I beat her time! It just shows that anyone can do it, and I can't recommend this programme enough.

C25K anniversary
At first I thought it could be
shin
splints
, etc but now I think it was just my body adjusting to the shock of exercising after so long, and the fact that I was overweight and putting more pressure on my joints and legs.

Run and Roll!
Oh, and an ice pack really helps
shin
splints
. I have learnt a lesson that I really should have known! (Oh, and I also read that plenty of pre and post hydration of water is really important)

I'm covered from head to toe in a slightly itchy rash. My family says it's measles but I'm worried it's meningitis. What do I do?

Shin splints/ pain in leg!!
In the start I experienced pain in my right
shin
which I thought could be
shin
splints
. After week 3 I thought I'd check out to see If I was wearing the right footwear- I wasn't!!!!! I now have running trainers and they made such a difference.

Shin splint? For newbie
Any ideas, Choics website says, stop for two weeks until pain subsides, but the pain stops as soon as I stop running so not even sure it is

GOD THAT DIM SUM LUNCH WAS GORGEOUS!
He said it was
shin
splints
, but mainly my calves were very tight and I needed to do some more strengthening work on my hips, because I was putting too much wallop on my calves when running. Anyway, as he was chatting he found a knot in my calf - "JEEEEEEEEEEZ CHRRRIIIIISTTMAS!" I yelled.
