The Holmes-Adie Syndrome in the Mona Lisa of Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519)
Another paper speculating on historical, and artistic, thyroid disease. Interesting, but always take such things with a big pinch of salt.

Melanoma Groin Dissection
Hi I recently had a groin dissection for melanoma & had 5 lymph nodes removed , Iām told the cancer was in just one of those. & I am now being offered Immunotherapy but when I read all the side effects one actually being skin cancer itself , I am not sure whether to have this or just have scans to check

Hi, Does anyone else suffer with this? Iām on W8R3 and as much as it isnāt as bad as in the early days I still have a moderate amount of pain. I always leave at least 1-2 days between runs to allow rest but it doesnāt seem to make much difference. Iāve read rest is the only real treatment but don

Advise on mild shin splints please
I've had
shin
splints
when I run. The first week was getting worse so I changed shoes and now it's not worse or better. I'm wondering if you more experienced people recommend changing shoes again or just waiting for my body to adjust to running? Thanks

Sun beds are not safe - Fact
Sunbeds emit the same UV radiation as the sun, but at much greater intensities. Sunbeds are classified as a group 1 carcinogen for a reason. Even one sunbed use can increase your risk of melanoma by 20% and sunbed use before the age of 35 can increase the risk of melanoma by 75%! The message is clear

Shoe Yawn
Recently I have experienced
shin
splints
on my runs and found out that dead soles is a frequent cause. So, out with the new shoes and they make all the difference. I bought them at the beginning of the year when we had all those customs hold ups, and theyāve remained in the box since.

Scar revision surgery
Whatās the best treatment for a lateral abdomen scar. I am thinking of having scar revision surgery for a lateral abdomen scar post emergency splenectomy. Iām told the scar is āpretty neatā but as a young Indian female. It is extremely difficult to overcome, give the transition dress shows the midriff

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer and the most frequently occurring form of all cancers. While BCC is rarely life-threatening and rarely spreads beyond the original tumor site, if allowed to grow, they can become disfiguring and dangerous. Untreated BCCs can become locally
