Asthma classification
Just don’t understand why people with
severe
asthma
are in group 3 and it’s the same classification for group 6 it says
severe
asthma
. What about moderate asthma? The bmj report says people with mild asthma not at any more risk but doesn’t mention moderate.

Advice on open surgery
He said he’d try and not touch the bowels more than he needs to but I may end up with a colostomy bag for a few months … I’m really worried about the whole thing and to top it off, I’ve got a
severe
type of
asthma
so they’re very concerned about my going under general anaesthetic.

Spirometry completed!
Hi All, I've had my spirometry! Received the good news that my issues are not smoking related COPD! So now have to work out of its Asthma or not and what's the next step, I thought the spirometry would have been able to tell me if it's Asthma or not too, but apparently not? What tests do they use for

Air pollution 🏭🚗🚌
Following the news coverage yesterday on air pollution in relation to the tragic death of 9 year old Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah, you may find this post helpful: [i]Connecting the dots between asthma and air pollution can be incredibly hard because the threat is invisible. It might be difficult to link exposure

Update on previous post.
Update on previous post: so after comparing scans from April to recent it has grown quickly. Taken all by surprise and whether it was the Avastin that had been holding it back which was stopped in March they don't know. So we are where we are, unfortunately and I have to have chemo to stop it, reduce

Neutrophilic Asthma
Has anyone being diagnosed with this asthma type? Just wondering what treatment you have as I’m on maximum treatment and not eligible for biologics - however the last time I had my bloods tested I was on 40mg of prednisolone so would this affect the eosinophil levels

Emergency operation
So after the initial diagnosis in 2016 and the usual treatment, I'd had 4 1/2 years of ok health but continous and troublesome constipation. I was being regularly monitored and ct scans showing no problems. No one was concerned so I slept easy at night. I continued to take unsuccessfully in that time

Chest tightness/pain caused by asthma?
TL;DR: Chest tightness/pain feels like having a tennisball right underneath the ribcage, and not like a general tightness across the chest. Good morning! I have been suffering from asthma my entire life but only really felt problems when exercising. Recently symptoms like coughing, phlegm and chest tightness
