Advice please?

Hi all

I wondered if anyone had any knowledge on the effects of stopping steroid nasal sprays for 3 weeks then changing to another brand? Would this restart asthma symptoms?

I had a new asthma diagnosis and felt very lucky to become to be under control for 5 weeks! Taking :

100 fostair 4 puffs a day

Avaymys nasal spray

Daily Antihistamine

However 6 weeks ago I run out of nasal spray. I was fine without it for 3 weeks had no symptoms and then started on Dymista combination nasal spray which I have been taking for 3 weeks now.

Problem is, for the past 4 weeks I have become quite uncontrolled again. Having morning and evening sob, sighing, on blue inhaler quite a few times a day -morning and night. Unable to exercise and fatigue.

Doctor has changed my fostair to higher strength of 200 at 4puffs a day.

My question is, could it be coming off the nasal spray and changing to a different brand which would make me so uncontrolled again?

Or, is it you can be managed for a month and then suddenly deteriorate anyway and the nasal spray is just a coincidence? If this is the case I am wondering does this then mean I have difficult to manage or severe asthma?

Seeing the respiratory specialist in June but just wanted to try to find out more information beforehand and curious as to what the cause could be for deteriorating again.

Thanks so much !
