POST Debaulking swollen stomach

I had my debaulking surgery plus a stoma reversal 5 wks ago. I dont have ascietes. My stomach is still very swollen. Any advice on how long it takes to go back to a semi normal size? Thanks

Hi there, if you have any concerns I would contact your consultant / surgeon as soon as possible. I had debulking and tumour removal 8 months ago but I didn't need a stoma, thankfully. I was still a bit sore after the op but no significant swelling. I was given a direct 24 hour telephone number to contact the ward I was on after I was discharged. So please contact your medical team to put your mind at rest. Everyone's recovery is slightly different. Best wishes.

Hi, it takes quite some time but if it is VERY swollen, I think you should have it looked at. It took longer than 5 weeks for me
