Latest BH Thyroid results - after 7 weeks on Levo
So, TSH is now dropping a bit (though obviously not enough). A bit worrying that my antibodies continue to rise, despite going gluten-free in August. Edit: I tell a (partial) lie, Thyroglobulin Abs are down a bit. TSH 3.53 (0.27 - 4.20) (down from 4.95 last time) Free T4 19.58 (12 - 22) (up slightly

Best Selenium supplement
Recently diagnosed with Hashimotos, looking at the forums I see lots of people posting about selenium supplements. Can anyone suggest a good make, should it be organic, what dosage? Thanks everyone x

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Nuts
Nuts vary in the amount & composition of their fats & micronutrients, to the point where it makes no sense to make broad claims for "nuts" as a category in itself. The fatty acid breakdowns shown below come from the USDA database. I have skipped mention of any fat type that is less than 5% by weight

Lovely Endo again and T3 question
Hi all Just wanted to say I saw the same NHS Endo yesterday and again she was lovely. I was nervous when I sat down as she had told me to reduce my Levo if I was adding T3.... but I decided to remain on my 100mcg Levo and take 6.25mcg with it in the mornings. After some very good advice on here I

Do I need selenium if I'm taking NDT?
Hi all, I have in the last 2 months moved over to NDT, I'm now on 3 grains a day split morning and afternoon. I am also taking feratin, b12, vit C, zinc, magnesium and progesterone. It's a nightmare to time all of this properly and I can wait to be able to drop some of the vitamins once I get my levels

Also, my bones ache a bit more. Elbow and wrist in particular. Pretty sure it's early arthritis as it's

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Medicinal Fungi - Turkey Tail (Coriolus versicolor)
Turkey tail is a common enough medicinal mushroom [1]. Why try it? Study [5] explains my interest. There are very few supplements that target stem-like PCa cells. Conventional cancer therapies are thought to fail because the stem-like cells are not targeted. e.g. PCa stem-like cells do not require androgen

Inflammation and Ferritin levels
Hi I've been trying to read around this particular issue, but it's still no clearer. Hoping someone will be able to help? I had one blood test which indicated my ferritin levels were low : 42 ng/ml (20-204). A month later, I had a private test which included ferritin testing and this showed: 100.0

Time To failure
I think the guys who have had success with Lupron therapy remaining effective for years are worth examining...what is the common denominator...so far I have talked to 53 long term Lupron survivors and the following protocol keeps coming up as a common denominator.....Lupron, Avodart, Metformin, Arimidex
