Blue Horizon Test Results - really worried
I saw a private doctor in February and have previously posted my blood test results from him and also NHS ones taken 2 weeks earlier. There was quite a big difference between the results. The private doctor put me on adrenal support and also gave me a thyroid support supplement which he said was similar

"Treating Hyperthyroidism with Herbal Medicine"
Post 3 - "Healing Hyperthyroidism the natural way". I've promised I would keep you up to date on my progress. Three months ago since I started my treatment with Herbal medicine. It has been a slow process, for that's the nature of herbs. It has also been a scary road, and I was so close to giving

1 Big Fat Circle around the NHS - advice please on my new non-NHS plan and blood results :)
This is my first (sorry rather long!) post. I was first diagnosed hypothyroidism 9 years ago (2008), after the birth of my first child. (No ranges given but TSH was 76, FT4 = 3.4, Anti TPO IgG Anti body = positive = 822iu/ml (normal = 1-50 iu/ml)) 150mcg Levothyroxine commenced. 5 months later levels

Is there a link between Hypothyroidism and High Blood Pressure?
Have recently been diagnosed as stage 1 Hypertension. Average BP reading over 1 week. 149 /90. The highest it go to is 160/90! I'm seeing doctor. Is there any evidence anywhere of link between Hypothyrodism and HP? I have been on 50 mg for 3 years. Blood tests say Thryoid function is normal TSH

How to get a referral?
Hi I'm new here and was recently (2 weeks ago) given my antibody etc test results over the phone by a trainee GP and am currently waiting to see my usual GP face to face in a couple of weeks to discuss them. Results were antibodies over 1000, TSH 9, T4 11. I didn't ask for the ranges over the phone

I’m new here - taking Thyroid Support Supplement istead of NDT
I am a 52 year old male who has been Type 1 Diabetic for 27 years. After several months of visiting different Endocrinologists I finally found an Endocrinologist who ordered a more complete set of thyroid tests for me. The results from the tests done on 20 April 2017 were as follows: TSH

Does anyone ever loose weight once on thyroxine?
I've been on 100 mg thyroxine for 8 weeks and am not seeing any positive impact on weight. During this time have gone mostly gluten free, taking selenium, sea kelp and drinking chlorophyll all to try and help. It's really getting me down as I feel like no mater how little I eat my body keeps recalibrating

Hi, my last labs arrived and I just wanted to share with you my personal experience with the combination of 75 mg of Levothyroxine + 1 1/2 grains of NDT, struggling to get the right numbers for more than 2 years now. I am also taking MMS to fight the Lyme disease which I think was the mean culprit for

Please help with latest BH test results after trying mixed T3/T4 therapy
I am looking for help with understanding my results and advice as to what to do next. My inability to concentrate is preventing me from thinking the problem through! My potted history is: I was diagnosed hypothyroid 11 years ago and have been on T4 since. I have always taken a slightly higher dose

Why has Levo stopped working?
This is my first post. I am 59. After many years of undiagnosed Thyroid related illness, I was finally diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2015. My father had the same late diagnosis. He died just five years older than I am now, aged 64 of a massive Stroke. At the end he was morbidly obese, with very high

Fat, fed up and fifty with no improvement. A decade of despair
Hi this is my first post. I was diagnosed hypothyroid after the birth of my child almost 12 years ago after going to gp exhausted with a bag of hair that I'd collected - - a year after my child was born. Apparently my results were off the scale when they got them back. I was put on synthyroid T4 and

Optimizing T3 and exercise
Not sure my question makes much sense but I am struggling to get optimal results, feel well and live the active life that gives me a sense of purpose. I'm working on adding T3 to my previously T4 only regime. I have been successful in raising D3 and B12, have good selenium and magnesium and am taking

Test Results, low temp, no weight loss
Hello All, Down below is the story, but I got my results back: Maybe my Free t3 is still too high to see weight loss? It's free t3: 4.5 (range is 2.0-4.4), free t4: 1.60 (range is 0.8-1.6), tsh 0.840 (range is 0.45-5.40). Does this mean that I'm converting into t3 good and don't need to consider taking

Thyroid iodine and essential co factors
Just getting iodine is not sufficient you need the cofactors that make it work. In addition as was pointed out earlier fluoride, chlorine and other halides can interfere with the uptake of iodine. So best to start drinking water which filters out these and other toxic substances. below is Dr Dean's estimate

Getting More Blood Work Done
Hello All, I'm going to be going in again and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for what to get done on my blood work. I have Hashimotos and have been on 125 mcg of Levothyroxine for about two months now. I have the perfect amount of energy, no more drowsiness or brain fog and my hair has stopped

General 'reset' which helped my thyroid
I have a goitre and last year had high hypothyroid, in the past I had hypothyroid. I didnt regard any of the medical options as being beneficial in the long term, all had 'side effects' I saw as not amusing! The consultant told me she wanted to prescribe Carbimazole, while casually mentioning that it
