I have taken a number of supplements for many years in this ttc battle, although I took Vit D and Turmeric anyway. I take Vit E, a probiotic from Optibac, and an antenatal supplement from Biocare. About 2/3

Best resource for non Hashis hypo info especially post covid 19
Hi, Where would you go for reliable info for a male age 55 who is recovering from a nasty 3 week covid 19? Prior to being ill, he had a thyroid panel done and it suggests he doesn't have Hashi's but has a TSH of over 2, low to mid T4 and T3, and high reverse T3 and hypo symptoms (thin eyebrows, fatigue

Selenium
Ive been reading a lot recently about selenium and using it for thyroid function. Has anyone had any issues while taking it? I purchased some and took one for the first time tonight but have since come out in hives. Has anyone had this or similar problems?

Where can I get tested for RBC selenium? (Medichecks I believe is testing serum not RBC). It is RBC we should be testing, right? And how long should I ideally be off selenium before testing? Thanks

Healthy Diets - a bit obvious but worth saying!
The human body is marvellously equipped to cope although anyone reading this probably has a few body systems that aren't obliging! I know mine doesn't, BUT common sense things such as making sure your body has all the fuel, right ingredients etc to do its best is crucial. A balanced diet incorporating

Hi all, Just had my Dexa scan for my coeliac review and it's showing osteopenia. There was no sign of this whatsoever when I was diagnosed 4 years ago. My GP wanted to reduce my levo to 75mg as she believes my almost non existent TSH is a problem. I've refused this and explained yet again that it's

Can I have some help with results please?
Afternoon everyone, I recently had a set of tests done privately and would love someone's take on them. I fasted before my test and did it first thing in the morning (and left it 24 hours since taking my last dose of Levo). I stopped T3 two days previously after seeing my endo, who wants me to come off

Selenium Mineral Levels Increased in Cerebrospinal Fluid of Parkinson’s Patients, Research Suggests

Vitamins & more supplements for hypothyroidism
Since many of us have to supplement, I was wondering if someone could pm me which brand they take. I use a UK brand -- starts with S ends with r (dear admins: hope that ‘s okay!) which seems good but it’s expensive ! I take Vitamin C, B complex, Folatin, Selenium. A combo for joint pain. Thinking

Having to go off NDT after several years and back on levo only - how to explain it?
OK, so I went off NDT and back on T4 only a few weeks ago, after suffering bothersome symptoms for several months, such as profuse sweating (waking up every morning in a bed drenched in sweat), racing heart, high blood pressure (treated with perindopril 10 mg daily, GP wants to switch me to beta blockers
