From the US here, I was diagnosed at 49 in April 2015 with non invasive bladder cancer. I have been in remission since August of 2015. I have never been fearful for my life. I have had 4 TURBTs and 4 cystoscopies and 12 BCG treatments. My last maintenance treatment was a month ago today. I have felt

been there, done that...
I surprised myself at my lack of reaction when the urologist told me a had a tumor in my bladder- was just one more thing to do. had that surgery and a follow up one- then the seemingly endless series of BCG infusions and more inspections. the most uncomfortable parts of it are: wearing the cath after

Cancer nearly killed me
Bladder cancer, Nearly killed me, after the removal of two bladder tumour for ten days I was an emotional wreck. I must say that I prayed for death. Being also diabetic it made it worse. because my immune system was diminished the with BCG treatment made me ill.

BCG treatment was a success!
Had my 3rd Cystoscopy today following a 6 week course of BCG. Apparently my bladder is in terrific shape and the cancer has not returned since being removed in December. Looks like I will be keeping my bladder after all. I was sure I was going to lose it! Good luck to everyone else out there waiting

New to group
Hi--I've never posted before, but have been encouraged by many of your posts. In Jan., I had a kidney removed because of a tumor that turned out to be a urothelial carcinoma (more typically a bladder cancer). The doctors felt chemo would be too hard on my remaining kidney. At my quarterly check-up

Bladder Cancer
Hi I am new to this forum but am trying to find some answers for my Husband, he does not use a computer hence me asking questions. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer about 8 months ago and after having his tumour removed he had BCG therapy for 6 weeks, This was followed up with a biopsy last week

E-Cig caused my illness........
I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer in December 2015. Am currently undergoing BCG treatment after two cystoscopies. The first was to remove a tumor, and the second was a checkup. The tumor had spread to the prostate but only marginally. 3 days out of hospital and my urether was blocked with blood

Have you had chemo or radiotherapy for persistent non muscle invasive bladder cancer?
I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in May 2014, had 3 TURBTs, BCG & EMDA for 9 weeks, a total of 6 cystoscopies and biopsies under General anaesthetic. The cancer has reduced and remains either Gd2TpA and /or tissue CIS but I must soon decide whether to have radical Cystonomy - removal of bladder,

The story so far
I started a new job in October 2015 and decided it would be a good idea to cycle to work and get a bit fitter. After a couple of days I noticed that my urine was a bit darker than normal, but didn't think too much about it. Then one day I noticed a small blood clot. This worried me a bit, so I went straight

Survive - Catch it Early !
I was fortunate to catch my Bladder Cancer early. I had a different back pain than I was used to. After an ultra sound with "no issues", my accupuncturist suggested I go back and ask the doctor for more tests. My doctor sent me for a CT scan which revealled a tumour in the bladder. After my initial cystoscopy

Mr
My first indication of anything wrong was difficulty to pee so GP urine test showed slight blood trace - Cystoscopy results showed aggressive bladder cancer. Advised to have bladder removed - I went with BCG route and subsequent cystoscopies showed no further cancer. Now cancer returned as superficial

Information about Bladder Cancer
I was diagnosed with pTaG3 (i.e. aggressive cancer, but only in the first layer) with evidence of CIS (aggressive pre-cancer cells that lie flat on the surface) in January 2014. I had two TURBTs to start with, and then BCG treatments since. All bar one of the biopsies taken following each set of BCG
