Run out
So here I am at 5 am having not slept., nor been able to keep still. I ordered my repeat prescription in good time, but it has not been sent to the chemist and now it is the weekend. I take x2 Mirapex( which I have) and one Oxycodone which have run out. The combination works for me but is a fragile balance

Tinnitus?
Hey guys! I have a question going out there to anyone - I have been on amiodarone, metoprolol and Entresto for the AF and it's working fine. I just had an ankle replacement and am on other meds such as oxycodone. I have some pretty serious tinnitus lately and am wondering if this is a result of accumulated

How do you cope with seeing your partner suffer?
My husband was diagnosed in December 2016. At that time even though he was told that life expectancy is six to twelve months, we didn't believe them and kept hoping and praying as his cancer was only affecting one lung and a lymph node. We thought the doctors will try their best to keep him going for

Spinal fusion L5-S1 for spondylolisthesis, pain worsening
Hi there, I had spinal fusion with instrumentation in Feb 2015 for grade 2 spondylolisthesis as all other avenues had been explored but to no avail. After a lengthy recovery things started to improve but then slowly worsened. Scans showed that excess bone had grown trapping a sciatic nerve which accounted

Is There Anyone Missing The Relief That Co-proxamol Was Able To Give Patients?
November 2015 my GP informed me he could no longer prescribe Co-proxamol on the 'Named Patient' scheme. Within a month of his decision to end my prescription the recommended alternatives were once again causing me increasing unpleasant gastrointestinal side effects and not providing me with adequate

The best RLS solution used for the last 300 years
If you search in the NIH or Johns Hopkins Hospital web sites, you can see information about RLS. Below is one thing I found after realizing that the codeine cough syrup I had been prescribed was 100% effective in eliminating RLS overnight. Instead of getting up twice/night I sleep 8 hours without interruption

Pain medication for prostate cancer that has spread only to the bones. Is opiate pain medication always necessary?
Hello, My brother is on oxycontin for pain medication. I believe at this time he is addicted and I also believe that his pain level does not warrant oxycontin. Everyone assumes that because the cancer has spread that he needs this medicine. At one time he did, got palliative radiation and that greatly

Replacement drug for oxycodone for RLS
Hello all, I am currently taking oxycodone, between 5 and 10 mg. per day. My docs want me off at least for a while. Does anyone know if methadone works for RLS? I had to go off the pramimpexole since it caused me to lose 40 pounds, it gave me anorexia. The ropinirole does not seem to help me at

Continuing nightmare after stopping Pramipexole
Hi all! I stopped Pramipexole about 2 months ago and am still really struggling. Luckily though, I have a very well informed, sympathetic GP , who has tried me on several different combinations of drugs to replace the Pramipexole whilst withdrawing. We eventually found that Oxycodone was the most helpful

Medication- pain patches - alternative makes
Hi, my gp & I are trying to move me from tablets to patches, but going in low doses initially. However I have reacted to the first 2 , I have tried butec 5 mcg/hr by Qdem and butrans 5 mcg/hr by NAPP. She and the pharmacist are struggling to find a alternative make at such a low dose. I can't go on

Gabapentin - about to take first dose... what do I expect please my friends?
Hi everyone, so my GP has suggested trialling this and as my main boss is on leave for three weeks, my GP said it might be a good time to start it now while my workload is reduced, in case it affects my functioning while I get used to it. So Im wondering how have other people found it after taking it

I had the first stage of my ablation two weeks ago, cox maze but with endoscope access through chest. Some of the time early on I felt truly awful, so decided not to post until I had time to settle down and give a proper account (I didn't want to worry anyone about to have the procedure).
