Diagnosis of Psoriatic Arthritis
So I was diagnosed with PsA and AS about 2 years ago. My father is driving me insane saying he has PsA but has never gone to the dr and is self diagnosing. He’s big into fitness and tells me I would feel better and not have these symptoms if I took supplements and eat only omega 3 foods. He thinks it

Unmanageable pain and double vision post coil embolization of aneurysm, is this common?
Hello everyone, thank you again for answering my questions prior to this coil embolization procedure. Upon waking up from the procedure, I had double vision and unbelievable, unmanageable pain that I am still fighting. Unfortunately, we are 18 days post-surgery, via angiogram through my artery vs open

Arthritis getting worse
Hi everyone... This is my first post and my first time properly on here. I'm 27 and was diagnosed with RA about two years ago. Dark circles after transplant
Hi everyone A while after my transplant the area around the eyes got considerably dark, similar to before the surgery. This was more pronounced when I was taking oxycodone. Now that I no longer take oxycodone, I still have dark circles but they're not as noticeable as before. The medications I'm on currently

Run out
So here I am at 5 am having not slept., nor been able to keep still. I ordered my repeat prescription in good time, but it has not been sent to the chemist and now it is the weekend. I take x2 Mirapex( which I have) and one Oxycodone which have run out. The combination works for me but is a fragile balance

How do you cope with seeing your partner suffer?
My husband was diagnosed in December 2016. At that time even though he was told that life expectancy is six to twelve months, we didn't believe them and kept hoping and praying as his cancer was only affecting one lung and a lymph node. We thought the doctors will try their best to keep him going for

Spinal fusion L5-S1 for spondylolisthesis, pain worsening
Hi there, I had spinal fusion with instrumentation in Feb 2015 for grade 2 spondylolisthesis as all other avenues had been explored but to no avail. After a lengthy recovery things started to improve but then slowly worsened. Scans showed that excess bone had grown trapping a sciatic nerve which accounted

Is There Anyone Missing The Relief That Co-proxamol Was Able To Give Patients?
November 2015 my GP informed me he could no longer prescribe Co-proxamol on the 'Named Patient' scheme. Within a month of his decision to end my prescription the recommended alternatives were once again causing me increasing unpleasant gastrointestinal side effects and not providing me with adequate

The best RLS solution used for the last 300 years
If you search in the NIH or Johns Hopkins Hospital web sites, you can see information about RLS. Below is one thing I found after realizing that the codeine cough syrup I had been prescribed was 100% effective in eliminating RLS overnight. Instead of getting up twice/night I sleep 8 hours without interruption

Pain medication for prostate cancer that has spread only to the bones. Is opiate pain medication always necessary?
Hello, My brother is on oxycontin for pain medication. I believe at this time he is addicted and I also believe that his pain level does not warrant oxycontin. Everyone assumes that because the cancer has spread that he needs this medicine. At one time he did, got palliative radiation and that greatly

Replacement drug for oxycodone for RLS
Hello all, I am currently taking oxycodone, between 5 and 10 mg. per day. My docs want me off at least for a while. Does anyone know if methadone works for RLS? I had to go off the pramimpexole since it caused me to lose 40 pounds, it gave me anorexia. The ropinirole does not seem to help me at

Continuing nightmare after stopping Pramipexole
Hi all! I stopped Pramipexole about 2 months ago and am still really struggling. Luckily though, I have a very well informed, sympathetic GP , who has tried me on several different combinations of drugs to replace the Pramipexole whilst withdrawing. We eventually found that Oxycodone was the most helpful
