I am currently taking oxycodone, between 5 and 10 mg. per day. My docs want me off at least for a while. Does anyone know if methadone works for RLS? I had to go off the pramimpexole since it caused me to lose 40 pounds, it gave me anorexia. The ropinirole does not seem to help me at all.

Yeah there are a few on here using it, although your Dr might not be too keen on it. there is also Tramadol and Codeine that can be used effectively.
If you are in the States you might have a better chance of your doctor letting you take it, those that i know, have found it works for them. If in the UK, forget it, noooo chance that i know of any doctor prescribing it.
Interesting that the prami made you lose weight. Most of us find that these drugs seem for some reason to cause weight gain. I am sure we will get more responses about this and see what effects people are experiencing. Anyway good luck with your medication.
Gabapentin .. best bet . Extremely effective ..only side effect .. little drowsy .
Yes I have found METHADONE to be great for RLS or any type of Neuropathic pain and other NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS. Also, I take Gabapentin in conjunction with METHADONE for my nerve pain and RLS and for me it's been the best treatment on earth as far as I know. I'm saying this, because I have tried everything known to man. It's taken many year's to figure out what work's. But know that I have, I am truly grateful to have found these med's, because now my life has changed for the better.
