I need painkillers off dr and she doesnt want me on more than paracetamol. Co codamol is contraindicated in emphysema. I do not believe it is unsafe for me to take every kind of painkillers nhs can offer. So am asking for names of painkillers please. I will check all info presented and then discuss

Thyroid and Vitamin A
Hi Like many, I have multiple conditions, including Hashi thyroid. I started taking Vitamin A, 10,000 iu daily, for COPD and take D from Drs for osteoporosis. Now Im feeling really tired and cold all the time even in the lovely weather and it appears to link to the Vitamin A. Is anyone here taking

Dhea how long should I take it
When I was first prescribed thyroxine I was told to take Dhea as I was really tired on the thyroxine despite bloods OK. I felt a lot better taking it and had loads of energy for a few months even though I only took the Dhea for a couple of weeks. I have since been treating myself with thyro gold and

Has anyone here had a Vitamin A or a Vitamin E deficiency?
I've been having quite a few medical investigations recently which so far has found a vitamin b12 deficiency and vitamin d deficiency. My ferritin was borderline but apparently my iron saturation was high? ... I'm leaving that fight for another day. Treating the b12 and d has helped my symptoms quite

Who takes Vit A and / or other Supplements? What benefits do you feel?
Thought it would be interesting amid all the recent debate on this site regarding the possible benefits of Vit A to find who takes it, how long they have taken it and what benefits they have felt. Or what other supplements do you take and how do you feel they help? Personally I am open to all suggestions

A good news story
I am happy to report that after seven years of walking on broken glass ( pustular psoriasis} I have been free of the pustules for six months. I had 48 sessions of PUVA with the wonderful team at Queens Hospital in Romford. This week I went back to see the Consultant and she was delighted too! I will

Have you ever had other vitamins tested such as Vitamin A, Zinc, Magnesium...?
Hi, like most people I have had the usual done: vitamin b12, folate, ferritin and vitamin D. These tests showed that I needed b12 injections, I had vitamin D treatment and I was told my folate and ferritin were in the normal range but were "low normal". I had these done at an endocrinologists and to

Multivitamins
Hi, I've looked into getting some supplements as my ferritin, B12, folate and Vitamin D are low and because I'm a fussy eater, have gone gluten-free and have trouble swallowing due to my neck swelling I suspect I could be deficient in other minerals and vitamins. My GP will not test for anything other
