recently on this forum there was a post about a young man who was giving his mother vitamin A and said he had good results, I am trying to get in touch with him but have forgotten his post title, can anyone help please, thank in anticipation .

I'm pretty sure that was in the thread about 'best supplements for COPD'. Just scroll down a page or two and you'll find it. I think it was a man who cound that vitamin A belped his wife who had very severe emphysema.
I'm a big believer in supplements. However, it's always a good idea to check with a professional when it comes to taking them, especially Vit: A, too much of that can affect the liver.
I think what I said was misunderstood. I myself take Vit: A, D, E, C as well as Zinc. However, I know that some supplements can have an adverse effect on some medication. Also, some Vit's are absorbed into the body ie: Vit A in the liver. Whereas, Vit C does not stay in the body, you lose it in your pee.What I am saying is check with the chemist, gp, consultant to make sure it isn't affecting your other medication, and also you are taking the right amount for your age, weight etc:
