I was reading some older posts about Actimel for your stomach.my mom takes pain pills and has trouble with her stomach. Would you recommend this for her?
Also, are any of you going to try the vitamin A ? What kind, and what strength?

I've a sensitive tum too so tend to favour alkaline foods to keep it calm. Believe it or not, lemon juice is very calming whereas oranges & clementines etc burn.
If she's well off I'm sure the Actimel won't do any harm except to the pocket. I only take the acidophillus capsules. Loads more of the ingredient and far less expensive.
My husband suffered with crippling stomach pains and ruthless upset stomachs for most of his 50 years (IBS) until he started Symprove last year. He has never looked back. They deliver a liquid drink every couple of months and it really works!
Not a prescription, he buys online symprove.com or via Amazon and it costs about £60 for 5 weeks or so at maintenance dose. It's drug free and it has changed his life. Best of luck if you decide to give it a go.
