Importance of having a pulse oximeter during COVID-19
Hi all, I was sent a link yesterday to this New York Times article written by an emergency doctor at Bellevue Hospital. He details the particular qualities of covid pneumonia, particularly "silent hypoxia" where you can desaturate spectacularly without feeling particularly breathless. Hence late calls

Covid-19 early detection
“ There is a way we could identify more patients who have Covid pneumonia sooner and treat them more effectively — and it would not require waiting for a coronavirus test at a hospital or doctor’s office. It requires detecting silent hypoxia early through a common medical device that can be purchased

Hi everyone 👋 So I have had asthma since I was about 3. The last three years my asthma has gotten worse. In 2016 I has a nasty pneumonia that developed and was hospitalised for 5 days and spent weeks off of work recovering. It took me about a year to feel someone normal and I've been hospitalised once

COVID-19 & Abnormal Coagulation.
In conclusion, COVID-19 patients with acute
respiratory
failure
present a severe hypercoagulability rather than consumptive coagulopathy. Fibrin formation and polymerization may predispose to thrombosis and correlate with a worse outcome."

5 Weeks with a dry throat / cough and ongoing...
I was wondering how long the dreaded “C” symptoms have been lasting for people on here?? Obviously like most, I have no idea whether I’ve got it or not but I started getting a very dry throat / cough 5 weeks ago and since then it’s been up and down. One minute getting better, one minute getting worse

Trouble Breathing, Severe Health Anxiety
Hi everyone, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted on here, but this whole COVID situation has spiked my anxiety to an uncontrollable level. 3 weeks ago, I developed a headache that lasted for 3 days. Along with the headache, I experienced body aches, fatigue, chills, intense stomach pains, and diarrhea

Flu Shot & Long Term Unwellness
Greetings everyone, I know this is a touchy subject to some - but I was just wondering if anyone else out there has perhaps experienced what I have. I was diagnosed with Fibro about 5 years ago, after making literally dozens of trips over the years to all GP's in my surgery complaining about major fatigue

Week 4 again
Last week I was ill with flu which left me very tired. Not the virus as I didn’t cough and had no temperature.so I am repeating week 4 this week and moving onto week 5 next week. I had to fight lots of demons in my head this morning which was tough and I am now combining running with cycling because
