It's 65's & over if age related E, so doesn't apply to us. Long term health conditions it's every 5 years so you'd need to check when you had yours last, mine was 3 years ago.

Ah I'd get it for asthma, and diabetes !,I think mine was about 3 too! I'll check when the time comes ! Hope you are well x

You've reminded me that I must have my h sort that he has it too. Worth it for the extra peace of mind it gives, you'll know painful lungs can be when infected.

We're getting on with getting on, as we all are. Thanks for asking. Hope yours are keeping safe too, especially your daughter. x

I was offered, so accepted, the Shingles jab, as well as the annual flu one and 5 yearly ( I think) pneumonia one. Of course, that’s just against viral pneumonia. It didn’t stop me from getting serious bacterial pneumonia - twice.

Oh yes , course! But it helps against some things xxxxx

It does indeed.

I’ve had the lot! If it offers some protection then I’m happy to have whatever is offered.

I was given my first and only pneumococcal vaccine in 2008, but never been asked to have a 5 yearly dose.

When I started Methotrexate the CNS team checked whether I'd had a pneumonia jab and decided it was too long ago (should be for life!). I had to have another and, if I remain on MTX then need one every five years according to our hospital policy.

I had Shingles last year as too young to have the vaccine. So painful it should be offered to everyone who can get a flu jab. It irk'd me walking under our GP's flags saying get your Shingles jab to see him with the condition. Nastiest and most painful thing ever, I was in hospital with it and it hurts for months. So I'd suggest you ask for that too.

Not sure about age limit for that, I'm 60 x but really 21 !!

Its 70 ! I complained bitterly to my GP in fun as he has great sense of humour. He thought it was funny that I had actually read the notices in the surgery waiting room as no one else ever did. lol

I'll ask in 10 years ...lol!, I'm not gonna say if I make it lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚oops just did!!

The age changes every year....it’s a study the NHS are doing to see if vaccinating oldies decreases the number who get it....but it’s a live virus so if you are on some drugs you shouldn’t have it.

I had Shingles a couple of years ago...it wasn’t too bad when I actually had it...but as I had it in my head & face the pins & needles type headaches I had afterwards lasted for ages.
