Feeling very cold and ill.
I've been aware recently, especially since it's been quite cold, that I go very cold as well, (in ear 35) cold and feeling really ill. Today I have had to resort to 4 thermal layers, hiking socks, turn the CH up and light a fire, and it took all morning, it's now 2pm, to get comfortable and start feeling

Pulled calf again! (W2R3 second attempt at Couchto5k after an injury last year)
I got home from work and got changed immediately whilst I was warm from my car. (My bedroom was cold as the heating isn’t on til later). I stupidly got engrossed into a text conversation for 15-20 mins, (in my cold bedroom). Didn’t realise the damage that would do. As with most of the UK, snow has fallen

Scientists discover how COVID-19 virus causes multiple organ failure in mice.
UCLA researchers are the first to create a version of COVID-19 in mice that shows how the disease damages organs other than the lungs. Using their model, the scientists discovered that the SARS-CoV-2 virus can shut down energy production in cells of the heart, kidneys, spleen and other organs. "This

Persistent Vegetative State
My 72 yo mother was hospitalized on 12/14. She had just been discharged on 12/11 after two months of battling pneumonia. I found her unconscious and unresponsive. She was taken to the ER by ambulance. She was immediately intubated and put on a ventilator. I was told by the Pulmonologist that she had

This was my Storm Christof run - wind, rain, the whole works. So my time wasn’t as great as last time. I ran a little further - 5.63km - but didn’t want to push it because no-one wants to get the flu or a cold right now! A little knee twinge as well, so I stayed on the safe side, ran the same route and

Thyroid S/ Flu Jab
Hi Guys It's been a long time since I contributed to the site, but have read plenty. I have ran out of my NDT (thyroid S) and still waiting for delivery, I placed the order in June last year. I have another bottle but I seem to remember there was a batch which wasn't quite right, and I know the bottle

Vaccine question for the professionals
I plan to take up the offer of the vaccine when I get it (March for over 60s..IF) but my brother, an orthodontist in the USA has delayed taking it as he remembered the link to flu vaccine in 1976, and some people developed GBS after swine flu vaccination, which was a special flu vaccine for a potential

Covid /pneumonia ventilator
Hi again, just following up with my previous post. They have been trying to lower my dads sedation from the ventilator, but every time they do, his heart rate goes up and they’re not sure why. He does suffer from high blood pressure and they say his heart rate does go up and down. Any have or know of

Week 7 Run 3
Did my first run after a further period off after a cough and cold. I suspect I should have left it another week as my chest is busting now. Still I did do it. I’m not normally concerned about speed but should I be worried that the lady who was walking her dog a few steps in front of me was a good 200m
