Relief from talking with my Doctor.
The fact is, why wait till you're in end stage
renal
failure
when something can be done early to prevent any further progression of the disease. My suggestion is change of diet and I checked Davita.com. There are amazing recipes there. There are renal diets there also.

Cardioversion
Hello, I am in AF constantly and have been like this for 4 weeks. I was admitted to hospital when it started and my heart was racing at 160 bpm. I commenced Bisoprolol 7.5mgs and although still in AV, beats now at 80-90. I am booked for Cardioversion in two weeks and when I attended my pre admission

Gum growth after kidney transplant
Hi, I had a kidney transplant over 2 years ago and recently my gums seem seem to be overtaking my teeth and are quite uncomfortable and bleeding. Is this down to taking prednisolone daily as a steroid?

The Supreme Court acknowledges the value of patient support groups and empowered patients.
"...changes in society, and in the provision of healthcare services, should also be borne in mind. One which is particularly relevant in the present context is that it has become far easier, and far more common, for members of the public to obtain information about symptoms, investigations, treatment

July 2017 I found out I had End Stage
Renal
Failure
. I literally thought that was the end of my life. I spent about 3 weeks in the hospital. My world was flipped upside down. I started dialysis and got put on tons of medication.

Kidney Transplant 35 yrs Dec 2018
I’ve been taking Aza my whole transplant life. I currently have a 15cm cyst on my liver. Does anyone know what I may be facing at this stage of my journey? Any stories or advice anyone could share, words of encouragement if any would be delightful.

Blood test (BNP) to flag up heart disease earlier!!!
I found this very interesting article in the copy of Mail on Sunday. "When the heart muscles begin to strain, larger amounts of the protein – brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) – are released by the heart and it is detectable in the bloodstream." New £15 blood test flags up heart disease at an earlier

DPP4 inhibitors such as Galvus met increases risk of heart failure!
Galvus met, till date claimed as a safe drug has become very popular due to its effectiveness. It is also known as a Gliptin or DPP4 inhibitors. From latest clinical trials , it is seen to have increased risk of heart failure as published in a very recent article in AHA journals of Feb 2018 issue

Treatment going ahead for antibody mediated rejection!!
So lady’s and gents, some may remember my post a few weeks ago about being treated with a form of dialysis for antibody mediated rejection, the docs decided to send me home and watch how I go with my tacrolimus levels being high, this has caused a bit of damage to my kidneys and my bloods are much worse
