Good morning everyone. Has anyone put on weight after their heart attack? Have your taste buds changed? Yes to both for me I’m afraid. Is it the meds? It can’t be lack of movement as I try to keep on the go as much as possible but I do seam to be eating some real rubbish lately (comfort eating I think

Apologies
I’m sorry but I’ve been replying to posts without introducing myself. I’m not sure if this is the correct procedure. I must admit though that I have found this site very therapeutic. I had a heart attack on my 68th birthday. Although I was on a healthy diet, didn’t drink or smoke and went to the gym

Thank you all for replying to my query on heart attacks and stents, I do feel much better now and we should hopefully see a Dr tomorrow. My husband spoke to a nurse yesterday about the echo cardiogram and it seems his heart is currently working at 41% effiency, the 3rd stent should improve this, they

Newbie recovering from a stent
Hi Iv had a stent fitted earlier this week due to a narrowing of an artery ( no heart attack, thankfully) Since the procedure Iv had constant chest pain and shortness of breath if I do anything . I’m assuming that the chest pain is the trauma of the procedure and being breathless is normal as is lacking

Angiogram and next chapter of my cardiac rollercoaster to come
Hello my fellow hearties, I haven't posted on this forum for quite some time, since I was first diagnosed aged 48 with CAD in Oct 2017 and was terried. I drew then, and still draw on now, massive comfort from how kind eveyone here is in sharing their worries, experiences, thoughts and kindnesses

Exercise query
Hi my dad has recently had a heart attack, had a stent fitted, been diagnosed with af and hf. He's been an active chap all of his life and I hate to see him just sitting and looking down. Can anyone suggest any activities or exercises he can do to keep busy? Many thanks x

Chest & arm pain.
Hi All, Hope you are all well, been reading on here for 2 weeks or so I’m 43 years old. After the birth of my first and only child (almost 8 years ago) I suffered heart failure due to pregnancy - post partum cardiomyopathy, very rare, but happens in the last month of pregnancy and can be misdiagnosed

CHD Diagnosis in China
Hi this is my first post. I'm a 62 year old cyclist. 6' 1", 75K. Been fit and healthy all my life then I have heart palpitations in China (living with my wife who works here). They investigate further (halter, Echo, Stress Test, Dye X-Ray thing in wrist) and 10 days ago diagnose CHD with arteries blocked
