2nd Stent being done on 26th (Cancelled)
So I got a call yesterday on the morning I was supposed to go in, it was the Consultant herself calling me. She said that she had looked at my images again from 5 weeks ago, if we do stents because it's a long section they could close up again in the future, and suggested I have a mini graft through

Lump in groin after ablation
I'm on day 9 after a recent ablation for flutter, having had an original fib ablation plus top-up procedure back in 2002. I have discovered a bit of a lump... The wound site is mending itself with the haematoma colouring going, the pressure dressing came off on day 2, however, I have a bit of a lump

Issues with tocilizumab?
Hello, my husband had an appointment with the Rheumatology nurse today. He is on tocilizumab but has had to have half dose as his liver blood results are too high. It is not as effective and he is developing problems with his hands. He is seeing the physiotherapist and an steroid injection was discussed

Ticagrelor withdrawal
The anniversary of my hospital discharge from my Nstemi and stent happened six days ago so I stopped taking my Ticagrelor. Not sure what to expect but it all has been positive, occasional breathlessness seems to have gone away. Things do feel different in my chest but it’s hard to explain, occasional

Husband had a heart attack aged 38....
Hi everyone, My husband unexpectedly suffered a heart attack just over a month ago. He is only 38 and had no previous health concerns, and doesn't smoke or really drinks so this came at a complete shock to us! He had an emergency angioplasty and subsequently had a stent fitted in one of his arteries

Drugs after stent
On 5th July I had a stent placed in my right coronary artery which was blocked to 94% in one place. I am grateful for this life-saving surgery. I also have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation which is becoming more frequent. I am on a whole raft of drugs now and they are seriously impinging on my quality

A1pastalover
I'm 77 years this October, and suffered a heart attack on my birthday last October. I had no symptoms at all until that day. Never drank or smoked normal weight. When having the heart I had no pain just very weak. My wife phoned for an ambulance After an hour I started being sick and that lasted all

Tigacrelor and breathless
Hi. Interested to hear other experiences of the above. Had heart attack and stent 6 ago. weeks. Intermittently find I feel tight chested/breathless although breathing is actually normal. Been back to GP/ A &E a few times and ECG/bloods/chest X ray all normal which is reassuring. I'm aware feeling breathless

Pulsatile Tinnitus picking up irregular heartbeat.
Primarily at night when I’m in bed, my tinnitus picks up an irregular heartbeat, I don’t really notice in the day. Having recently had a stent in my heart, this makes me so anxious -I found sitting up in bed and falling asleep helps. Anyone else have this problem?

Some (relative) good news
Because I got a stent they put me on Brillanta, a blood thinner and the transplant center said as long as I'm on it I can't be on the list. Well they said 6 months at first. I had a telehealth call with my cardiologist and he said I can stop in 3 months. Yay! I have an appt Dec 16 with him and I'm

Warfrin and flying
Hi, off on holiday for the first time since a stent and mitral valve replacement and being given Warfrin, I love to fly and this is only a 4 hour flight. I’ve waited a year before taking a flight. I’m excited and scared all rolled into one. INR is stable. I know in my heart I’m going to be ok, but

stent
Hello I would like to know if anyone else has experienced a difficult stent operation and if so what was the recovery like. It took over 2 hours to fit 4 stents in the left side of my heart I had significant blockages and a lot of calcification in one of the arteries. After 5 days I am still very breathless

Bypass next week - I'm terrified.
Hi. I had an MI in 2012 with one stent in the left circumflex. All other vessels were clear. I had no problems at all - until three weeks ago when I started getting chest pain. After some very frustrating A&E visits where I was sent home twice because my ECG was normal and troponin levels were under
