Chest pain post angioplasty/stenting
Hi all, So I had a stent fitted (LAD) to open up a narrowing in my artery on Friday morning. Have been experiencing off and on chest pain. Not too intense. More mild to moderate pain on left side of chest. Just wondering how common chest discomfort is post procedure. It could be settling in pain where

Non STEMI
I am new here, I had a non STEMI 2 months ago and was prescribed the most common medications, I.e. Ticegralor, Bisoprolol, Artovastatin and Aspirin. I was fortunate that the angiogram and subsequent ultrasound indicated there was no apparent damage to the heart muscle and I have recovered fully. No

Cardioversion yesterday. On bisoprolol 7.5 for AFib but also needed post MI. Pulse 47/54. Will pulse gradually improve over next few days?
Had stemi. Cardiac arrest and stent fitted 3 months ago. Was in continuous AFib till cardio version. Bisoprolol was for AFib but also to help damaged heart muscle heal post heart attack ( best dose for that is 10mg). So trying not to decrease it. If I stay in sinus rhythm will my pulse improve?

Depression after surgery
Having had brain aneurysm coil and stent surgery last year , I’ve become very depressed and anxious , seems like everything around me is crumbling and I don’t feel strong enough or good enough for anything or anyone , to make matters worse my boss keeps cutting my hours ( seems like just when she feels

I am having a drilling of the artery as it is blocked. What can I expect please?
So I have had 2 angiograms and one stent. My symptoms are much better but still there a bit. It's due to a total blockage of a small artery. Luckily my heart is fine and no real damage has been done. If I am honest I didn't like the angiogram procedure and this apparently needs two wires in each arm

Dreaming
So I have been having vivid dreams (could say nightmares) and when I wake up I have symptoms of angina (aching in arms etc) and can feel my heart beating more than normal. I'm unsure whether during the dream my heart is racing faster because of what I'm dreaming about or I'm having the symptoms and that's

Help in deciding when to return to work
4 months ago I had a STEMI. arrested just as got to hospital. Had a stent fitted. It left me with reduced ejection fraction of 40%, some muscle damage and continuous AFib. I’m having cardio version Thursday but they’ve been clear it’s not a cure and if it puts me in nsr I will always have AFib. I’m

Just an update
Hi All! I had a heart cath, yesterday, and my left arterial descending artery was 98% blocked! There were actually two blockages, one dislodged and broke up when he attempted to place the stent. The pieces then flowed to the next blockage. That one was successfully stented. I am so very grateful that

Feel a bit of fraud?
Hi all after reading some of the posts on here thinking I have it good! My doctor is good sympathetic and willing to see me. My consultants are available and any waits are less than 2 months dependent if more urgent then quicker than that! Anyways I have been diagnosed with asthma Crohn’s and heart

Cor Triatriatum and post stent pain.
Hi, I'm a newbie! Quick precis of my story: I was waiting for an angio appt (told 6 month wait) when my heart decided it could wait no longer and I was admitted via A&E and eventually had a stent fitted. It was also discovered that I had Cor Triatiatum since birth, explaining why I'd be pulled out

Stent before ablation
I am enormously grateful to this community. I am in an extremely good hospital but nobody speaks good English and I can't expect the doctors to spend too much extra time on me with my limited Russian and Google translate. Good news for those who read previous thread is that my stomach ulcer is not cancerous

Hi all. Well 4 1/2 years after my bypass surgery I found myself with similar angina pains although things went slightly differently this time. At first I think I was in denial about the pain 'was it imagined' 'was it indigestion'? In the end I could ignore it no longer so last Monday (18th) I phoned

Ramipril upped.
Hi all, been on Ramipril 5mg now for 10 years. Diagnosed with mild cardiomyopathy (EF 45/50%). Had left coronary stent 3 years ago and feel fine. 70 years old and my blood pressure raised in the last 12 months to average 150/76 so was upped my ramipril from 5mg to 10mg daily. I really feel tired with

Cataract and stent op outcomes
Hi All Has anyone had cataract op and how did it go? I had super vision for 4 days and then apparently the lens moved and now it’s not that great. Because I can read the chart they say I can drive but beyond about 5 metres my vision is blurred so I won’t be driving. I know it’s only 11 days but I am

Platelets dropping while on Zejula (Niraparib)
Hi Lovely Ladies. I went through two rounds of chemo for peritoneal CA. A few bumps along the way with a blocked ureter. A stent was inserted and I ended up in ICU with a kidney infection. (Sepsis). All good now in that regard except that my kidney function has been affected - they don't seem to be

Rosuvastatin verses Atorvastatin
Having had a coronary stent fitted in April I'm prescribed atorvastatin 80mg to clear fatty arteries. Would I be better off with rosuvastatin?

Angioplasty
Due to have angioplasty in 10 days. I have a blocked LAD but my heart has done 2 by passes, to help, but they haven’t quite done the job. Exercise test showed st depression. Cardiologist is going to try and poke a way through, and stent the LAD. Anyone had anything similar.
