WHICH TESTS ARE APPROPRIATE
Had a STEMI approx. 8 weeks ago completely out of the blue (other than hindsight symptoms of angina and other symptoms attributed to longterm chemotherapy) Seems my LAD is fairly blocked, together with other main vessels to some extent. Medics saying this has been going on for a while and blood vessels

Heart medication and common cold
Hello Everyone! I had a stent fitted after NSTEMI six months ago. Since then I am on the usual cocktail of anti-coagulants, beta blockers, blood pressure reducers and statins. There have been a few expected side effects (stomach upsets etc), but one unexpected one: it seems that I now get a cold every

Is it ok to feel anxious, cautious and always on the lookout for the next problem?
I was a 59 year old non smoker, moderate drinker, 3 gym spin bike sessions and 3 PT's a week, good diet. Flew to Australia on Christmas day to attend a family funeral. First day back in the spin class after returning to London felt chest pain. Same thing 2 days later and again on a walk the next day

I can hear my heart in my head!
Post stent 3 mths now with the usual range of meds but recently I have started to hear my heart beat in my head sometimes it's quite reassuring to know it's working but mostly I am starting to worry. My BP is good so I don't think it's that ...anyone else or ideas

ICD Confusion
My husband had a STEMI in August 2018. Unfortunately, he delayed treatment for 8 hours, thinking he was suffering from food stuck in his throat. He had a stent fitted. His first echocardiogram 4 days later revealed an EF of 39% and damage to the left ventricle wall. After a week stay in hospital where

One for you all
To all of you who have had any heart-related problems, IE stents fitted etc, I have one of these Revitive foot massages machines I've had one for years under different names Now, folks, my question is is it okay to use one as it supposedly helps push the blood around the heart I have looked in lots

Singing After stent fitted.
I had a stent fitted 5 weeks ago and as a hobby I perform in a local band once or twice a month. I play keys and guitar but also share the lead vocals. I was wondering if there are any other vocalist out there that could tell me the approximate time scale before I could start performing again as the

Tablet Dilemma - Isosorbide Mononitrate
I recently had a right coronary artery stent replaced due to blockage in the original. The ‘short of breath’ symptoms didn’t improve and a subsequent visit to GP revealed that aortic stenosis was noted on my last scan. Following the stent procedure my surgeon stopped me taking Isosorbide Mononitrate
