Pressure wire study
Hi, Due to have this on 17th on my LAD, as well as stent optimisation. Anyone had a pressure wire study? I’ve stopped reading anything about it because it’s scared me rigid in terms of what it can feel like and the risks! Going for pre-assessment tomorrow. The trouble is, most of the HCP you ask haven

A humbling experience
What started out as a day off work to finish the garden path, turned into a day I will never forget. After a delivery of gravel and several wheelbarrows later to complete the garden path, I became aware of a mild pain at the top of my chest. A few minutes later my left arm began to ache. Never really

My heart attack story
I came home from the gym at about 9pm, about 30 mins later a pain started across my lower ribs and stomach, it felt like a muscle ache, so I lay on the floor trying to stretch it out, my 18 yr old daughter asked me what I was doing on the floor and I told her I think I’d pulled a muscle, I got up and

Blocked LAD 50-74%-anxiety madness
Hi all, I thought I’d get this out there as it really is causing me so much anxiety at the minute. During my recent HA I had 2 stents fitted in RCA which is now 100% unblocked! I do have a 100% blockage of LCX and they want to have a look at this during an MRI for any residual Said possibly been like

Hi from California GCA questions
Thanks for sharing so much helpful information. I am new here. Awaiting a heart catherization as my EKG for my GCA biopsy indicated a heart issue and the biopsy was postponed. I feel the amount and duration of prednisone I have been in would probably rule out accuracy of biopsy. Any thoughts on MRI or

In February I had a stemi heart attack in my lad, they removed a massive bloodclot and popped in a stent, since feb I’ve had an echo, a 24 hour Holter monitor, a stress echo and a cardiac mri, had all my results today and was told that they carnt find where the bloodclot came from, cardiologist said

Cholesterol and Statins
I thought I would share my experience so far and hopefully get some feedback to help me understand things. Please note, I am of course going to discuss the following with my GP but it may be a few weeks before I can get to see the only one I trust! So, a brief background: I am slim build and have always

WHICH TESTS ARE APPROPRIATE
Had a STEMI approx. 8 weeks ago completely out of the blue (other than hindsight symptoms of angina and other symptoms attributed to longterm chemotherapy) Seems my LAD is fairly blocked, together with other main vessels to some extent. Medics saying this has been going on for a while and blood vessels

Heart medication and common cold
Hello Everyone! I had a stent fitted after NSTEMI six months ago. Since then I am on the usual cocktail of anti-coagulants, beta blockers, blood pressure reducers and statins. There have been a few expected side effects (stomach upsets etc), but one unexpected one: it seems that I now get a cold every

Stent fitted 2 days ago specific chest pains
I had a stent fitted after having my LAD 70% restricted, op went well and Kings in London were excellent. on my first day home I slept great and had a day of part rest and part active to slowly get back into things. I tried to put teh anxiety to one side with some non specific chest discomforts not pains
