Thickening of the Distal Oesophagus! - Any connection to heart medications?
Hi All, I recieved a letter from the hospital that confirms the stent i have had implanted but also tells me that I have 'equivocal thickening of the distal oesophagus'! I do seem to be clearing my throat a lot. Could this be related to the heart medictions? I am on Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Atorvastatin

Hi all. New here and looking for help/advice please.
I had my first heart attack 3 years ago at age 46 ( STEMI with 1 stent fitted) and, unfortunately, have had another in May this year ( NSTEMI 2 stents fitted). My recovery this time is not going well, I have daily chest pains, constantly short of breath, sore throat, feel flushed and very fatigued. Saw

80 mg lipitor??
7 months ago I had a stent placed because of 95% blockage. I was told i needed to take plavix and 40mg Lipitor along with a specific diet. After 7 months of doing as instructed I'm now told I need to go to 80 mg Lipitor because my cholesterol is rising high. Now I'm concerned about liver damage and why

Profusion study after breathlessness
Hi, 30 months ago I went to A and E with severe shortness of breath. My ECG and cardiac markers were clear but they did an angiogram anyway which resulted in a mid LAD stent. Three days ago the same thing happened but I was discharged after doing 21 minutes on the treadmill stress test. I can understand

6 weeks post transplant and all good
My husband went back to Kings yesterday for check up and all is looking good. The bile duct stent seems to have done the trick and he doesn't have to go back to Kings for another 6 weeks, then he will be passed over to Southmead hospital in Bristol for most of his checks. Meds - down to 5mg Prednisolone

hello, new here
Just had my first cardiac event. Stent to LAD in early hours of the morning (2am 5th Aug). So still only just starting the journey of understanding and coming to terms with what this might mean for me. Not how I was hoping to start retirement!

7 Stents and counting!
Hi all.. my first time out on HealthUnlocked, a newbie, but not a newbie to heart issues. I was first diagnosed with ischemic heart disease back in 2007 (aged 40), and following various procedures over a 2 month period and 4 stents later, I then had a relatively good 10 years, before the same symptoms

Still alive.
Still alive, so that is always a plus. Back home and the operation went well. A very eventful couple of days. Got up at 4.30, had to be in the hospital at 7.00 am. Was told I was no 1 on the list. Surgeon came and went through it all with me as did the anaestheastis. Then was told I would be done but
