left ventricle blockage
possibly, along with medication. Now is the time to get a diary, ask lots of questions and write down the answers. If he is overweight you can discuss looking hard at diet, smoking and drinking - as in what caused the arteries to clog up in the first place?
Hi, my husband has had a blocked artery for 21 years, he's been treated with medication as bypass, stents etc were not an option. I think it would depend on the amount of blockage, my husbands is 100% blocked.
GP said letter from Cardiologist reports major blockage and should receive Cardiologist appt soon
A major blockage doesn't necessarily mean its totally blocked. As I said my husband has lived with a completely blocked main artery for 21 years. He also has a damaged heart due to massive heart attack 21 years ago, he was 42 at the time. Ask for your husband to be copied in on all correspondence between cardiologist/GP/nurse etc, it can help you understand what is going on & you'll know what you want to ask cardiologist about. Meanwhile ask his GP to explain what is meant by "major blockage Hopefully they'll be able to sort him out.
