Angina aggravated by cold air
In spite of getting a stent four weeks ago I'm still getting angina symptoms. Ever since my symptoms began last year I have noticed that they become more pronounced in cold air. For example today I took a long walk in summer sun and felt fine. Tonight I walked again in colder air and the symptoms reappeared

from nothing to bypass!!
so had another angiogram today following a Myoview perfusion test that showed some lack of blood to the heart! consultant advised unlikely anything to worry about and likely a false positive on the scan just come out of catheter lab having been told I either need a complex stent or a bypass!!

Heart attack still smoking and drinking
Hi my husband 51 had a heart attack, and since this has had a stent fitted with the possibility of another stent in the future. My husband likes to socialise and is now after three weeks is still smoking and binge drinking. I'm trying to support him but feel very worried that this heart attack hasn't

To monitor or have surgery?
I was recently diagnosed with an aneurysm on my internal carotid artery. The team at the Wessex Neurological Centre have told me it’s a borderline decision on whether to do surgery or monitor it and that the choice is up to me. If they proceed with surgery they would need to do an endovascular stent

Northern Ireland Cardiologist ?
I know this is a long shot but can anyone recommend a private cardiologist in N. Ireland ? I have never used private clinics before in my life but I'm desperate to get some advice on the failure of my stent to resolve my angina. Going private seems to be the only way to get a consultation.

Narrowing Arteries
Hi there - I don’t post too much but find this site amazing and so supportive. What a great community for everyone. It’s so nice to hear everyone sharing their stories and getting some great advice back. I do have one question tho. I had a stent last year, for a 99% blocked artery. I have another narrowed

breathlessness
I am feeling very breathless today but with no pain in my chest just a weird fluttering feeling.I’ve got angina and I’m waiting on a stent for a 100 per cent blocked artery. Has anybody had theses symptoms? I get breathless but it just seem I still am even when I rest.

Flying after stent
Can I ask how soon people flew after they had a stent fitted. Did you experience any side effects during the flight?

Hi everyone. I had a heart attack on 3rd Aug 2023 and was rushed to the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital where the great staff there managed to save my life. I have had a stent fitted and hoping to go home on 8th Aug. All seems to have gone well with just some soreness. The hospital and everyone involved

How long until stent improves angina symptoms?
I got a stent on a LAD blockage just over 2 weeks ago and had high hopes that my angina symptoms would disappear. However this has not been the case so far. I feel pretty much the same as before, getting a burning chest sensation when walking and felling breathless occasionally at rest. Is it possible

Painful collar bone
Hello everyone and I hope you are all feeling OK.Question: I had a heart attack last month and had a stent fitted. Towards the end of last week I developed mild pain in my right collar bone. It is still there. I've tried researching it - to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’m perplexed about Pluvicto
After one dose of Pluvicto, Joe’s PSA rose, and Mets are unchanged. His second dose is August 4. I asked his onc what good looks like: how will we know if P is working? When? No good answer……he’ll rescan after 3rd dose….. His QOL is lousy, from what I see, anyway. Spends days moving between

Gastric source of angina symptoms
In my quest to get to the bottom of my angina type symptoms I have recently had a stent implanted in my LAD but the symptoms persist. - Mild burning sensation in chest after a few minutes of walking outdoors. (if I walk indoors I have no such problem - it seems to be temperature related?) If I pause

More on statins
I've actually been tolerating ADT quite well over the past year but beginning in January I started feeling tightness in chest, low endurance, out of breath, heavy fatigue, attributing all to Xtandi...Then in May I fainted after getting up from the couch so the old lady took me to the ER...I had an emergency
