Went to Dentist this morning for routine check up.Five minutes on the chair, strange sensations in legs,light-headedness and palpitations.I asked dentist to stop and I sat down, have some water.I manage to drive home since then but still having kind of sensation and mild pain at the back of my head.( I have had long history of heart single bye pass sixteen years ago,a stent over a year ago.Having some tests done but no where near diagnosis.

Hello :-)

I know I cannot go far back in the dentist chair and have to get them to sit me up as much as possible or I feel I will pass out I wonder if been reclined backwards made you feel this way ?

Have you a blood pressure machine if so checking your BP maybe a good idea

Until these tests get sorted the best person to speak to would be your Doctor and sorry I cannot give you a better answer but others might have some ideas or gone through the same and be able to share with you when they read your post

I hope as you relax you start to feel better but if not then I would contact my GP

Hope you get some answers soon and will let us know how you get on :-) x

BeKind has made some good points.

My Dentist very slowly lowers and raises the head of the dentist chair.

I tell him how far to go which isn't very much.

I also sit in the Reception area for awhile after each appointment with a glass of water.

I hope your upcoming tests give you some answers.

I would suggest A and E because those can be signs of a blocked artery as I had a pain in my neck and lightheadedness and I needed a stent.I hope you feel better soon
