left sided chest pain for over 2 years after stent

I had one sent in June 2021. I have had left sided chest pain since than. Any one else in the same situation. Pain seems to be constant, breathing ok. Any solutions ? Stress echo normal, holter monitor normal.

I get pains daily ever since I had a HA and heart failure. Big scar from damage on the heart. Arteries were all clear. No signs of blockages. Just the heart was given up. But ever since, last few years been pains everyday. Sharp and dull pains. Random for seconds up to minutes. Many times have been taken in for tests and all clear. I mean sometimes I am sweating with the pains but nothing showing up. Nurses have said it maybe just from the damaged heart along with a bit of anxiety.

I think with your case being a stent, it's possibly angina pains and best to get checked out. Does GTN spray relieve it?

Hi Simon, I had 2 stents in 2020 July. Ever since had pain in chest left & centre sometimes for hours (severe to moderate). Visited ER multiple times had all possible tests but all came negative.

Doctors assume its excess stomach acid due to heart medicines making esophagus to send confused pain sensation signals through a single central pain nerve which transmits signals both for heart & stomach. Any pain in general chest area is interpreted wrongly by mind due to past heart event.

You may try PPI for stomach acids & some mild anti depression med like SSRI for calming nerves after doctors advice.

If pain in chest is not related to physical or mental exertion than it's probably not angina.
