Cold pre surgery will it go ahead?
Has anyone had experience of going into surgery whilst unwell with a virus? I have a sore throat, head, achey and a bit of a cough. Negative covid test. Low BP, high pulse and higher white blood cells at pre op. Obviously fighting infection. Nurse at pre op said I'm fine to go ahead as no temp and not

I wanted to get opinions regarding my life insurance 800K which will be expiring in a couple of months. I have the option to roll it over to a universal policy but it’s going to cost me 2K a month. I’m still Homone sensitive. And been on ADT and Nubeqa (daroludimide) for the last couple of years. Had

PSA now undetectable with 2 of 35 radiation treatments left to complete. I will start Abiraterone next week, in addition to the Lupron I’m currently on. I’m celebrating today’s victory and wanted to share here. Of course, many days have been consumed with worry over the unknown. This group has been

second valve replacement
I had an aortic root and valve replaced in 2017 (mechanical valve) after combination of poor valve function and swelling aorta. This problem was found during a transasophogeal echo in advance of an ablation to tackle bouts of disabling AF that were only ever resolved by electrocardioversion. In the last

chronic pain
I’ve been suffering from longtime, unrelenting chronic pain for more than 30 years. The pain levels have become intolerable. No intervention or painkillers work. I have had major shoulder surgery two months ago which wasn’t a success. I now face having a total shoulder replacement. The pain is excruciating

Had my surgery - query!
Hi all, Finally had my surgery & they found so much more endometriosis than any scan found. It feels very validating. They also confirmed I had adenomyosis, which I knew. However, the surgeon came to speak to me in recovery (I was still very much not with it). So I don't remember much of anything

Adhesions and eating
Hi I had a recent laposcopy to remove a large abcess on my left ovary from a previous episode of PID caused by a bust abcess. When they got in there they found extensive adhesions and inflammation in my fallopian tube and pelvis area along with more adhesions. I am recovering well and feel stringer everyday

Anxiety following acute health issue
I had emergency surgery to clear out a septic joint and ended up hospitalized for weeks. The pain was almost unbearable. Ever since the trauma, I have been bothered by "what if?" anxiety. What if my partner dies? What if I get another painful health issue? That kind of thing. I've used some calming music
