Finally had my surgery & they found so much more endometriosis than any scan found. It feels very validating.
They also confirmed I had adenomyosis, which I knew.
However, the surgeon came to speak to me in recovery (I was still very much not with it). So I don't remember much of anything, but I have read my notes which I've googled and made sense of.
The one part I can't however, is it says 'adenomyosis 8 weeks'. I don't understand this in terms of a measurement? Has anyone had the same & is able to explain?
Thank you!

It could be the size of the uterus in terms of weeks of pregnancy. I looked it up when 14-16 weeks was written in a letter following surgery. They use it as a measurement guideline.
Thanks so much. This answer makes the most sense! I guess the uterus would be bigger due to the adenomyosis. Thanks! My follow up appointment isn't for a while so just wanted some answers before then! x
Thank you! Hoping this solves some of the pain for sure. I'm allergic to ibuprofen but I will definitely look into other things to see if I can. I will do for sure. I didn't do it on the day & couldnt string a sentence together haha!
The others are same family as ibuprofen, but might just be something in ibuprofen. Suppositories might not be so bad as don’t touch the stomach, GP would know.
We’ve all been there with one dr or another. 🤣 🤦♀️
