I know the only way to manage endometriosis is surgical. I had a laposcopy in 2020 and the pain returned within 6 months. My weight has increased loads in 4 years and I'm no longer legible for a lapaoscopy amd the consultant has told me to lose weight and he will do another surgery.
All well and good but easier said than done.
I actually think my first surgery missed issues with my bowel and that the endometriosis has come back. Is there any alternative surgery methods other than keyhole a surgeon can do that I've not been offered or not done on the NHS?
Multiple times a week the pain is so severe I lie on the bathroom floor for hours unable to move. It's debilitating and depressing.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

A lot of women on here manage endometriosis symptoms through diet, exercise and lifestyle choices. For me, changing my diet, cutting out alcohol completely and prioritising sleep saw a huge improvement in pain symptoms. I ran a lot too. I think I managed my endo well in my 30s and early 40s but peri menopause made it all flare up and I'm still suffering now. There are some great books to read and positive lifestyle changes you can make to try to keep it under control. Everyone is different so you need to find what works for you x
I'd recommend reading the section on Endometriosis in the book Dealing with Problem Period by UK gynae Anita Mitra, there are some alternatives lined out there. I'm sorry you are suffering so much, I feel your pain and I hope we find a way to get this pain under control. x
