Looking for correct group
Can anyone please advise if there is an HU group for my circumstances. I have SCC from parotid gland which has spread to neck lymph nodes. It's been removed by neck dissection and I'm on day 2 of Radio Therapy. Looking for support for the side effects of RT as well as recovery from the surgery. Thanks

Clinical Trial Niraparib or XOFIGO
Good morning, I am new to this forum and am thankful for having found it. I am trying to learn as much as I can about my husband’s diagnosis and pray that we are making the best decisions for his treatments. To this point we have not sought out a 2nd opinion and have wholeheartedly trusted in the treatment

After that 33 sessions of
radiotherapy
all very tiring and my recovery seems to be taking a long time as I’m getting out of breath doing the smallest of things I’m not sure if my ribs are still broken, this is eight months after the operation also when I cough I’ve a new pain in the left side of my chest

Good news - Stage IIIB
Potted history below: 4 rounds of chemo,
radiotherapy
, lobectomy (2014/15) Complete neck dissection,
radiotherapy
(2017/18) I haven’t been on any treatments in the intervening periods. I feel so fortunate to be so fit and well and still be out running.

All Clear
I am delighted to be able to report that the chemotherapy and
radiotherapy
I had to shrink my tumour before operation has had a remarkable effect. From the outset my surgeon gave me a 5% chance that it would disappear and that is what has happened.

Acoustic neuroma with cysts in it
I am just being offered surgery for my 2.5cm friend, as
radiotherapy
treatment is not an option. The consultant said cystic ones can be "unstable". I can't find much info online, if anybody has any insight that would be great, thank you :).

Diagnosis
I have grade 2 invasive ductal breast cancer. I have 2 cancers, both in the right breast. Both are progesterone and oestrogen receptor positive, but one also has the HER2 protein marker. Because of that I get the entire gold package; surgery, reconstruction, chemo for 6-12 months with hair loss counselling

Is radiation treatment just palliative?
Recent PSMA and Axumin scans show two spots, one in the back area in soft tissue near the 7th rib and the other in the bone marrow in the right femur. Both small. My MO initially recommended radiation. Two days later, at our latest in-person appointment, he told me that if I get radiation now it could

New cancer-fighting method leverages the mechanical force of T cells.
It has proven to be much more effective than chemotherapy and
radiotherapy
in treatment of some cancers. The drawback is that it manages to cure only about 20% of patients; the remaining 80% do not respond to this kind of treatment.
