Dad just diagnosed T4N0M0 ( upper lobe) cancer in right lung. Told radiotherapy will “cure” it! Consultant who fed back to parents this week omitted fact that PET scan showed small hot spot in colon that requires colonoscopy next week urgently!
Just when we thought ... fab! Hasn’t spread ... radiotherapy treatment offered... any advice? Guidance?
Poor 80 yr old dad! He’s exhausted from the stress and need to get treatment on way and clarity.

It is understandable that your dad is unclear about his management. Once he has the colonoscopy he will get an appointment to see the consultant after the results are available. Perhaps you could go to the out patient hospital appointment with your parents should they wish you to do so. Your dad most probably was given the phone number of the lung cancer specialist attached to the team managing his are.He could(or you could) with your dad's permission)phone her/him to discuss your concerns.
