Hi all hope your keeping well, my Pet Scan revealed just the one spot on my Spine L2 my Onc said So I am guessing that is good my Onc is sending me for higher dose radiotherapy to try & kill that off.
That is the only spot they can see any PC
So hoping that gets killed off & gives me more time before moving on the next hormone drug. Currently on Zoladex thats the only one I have had for nearly 3yrs.
Cheers take care.

My Onc wanted to try the Zap first as my PSA is going up slowly so if it keeps going up I guess we will move onto adding another hormone treatment probably Casodex.
I was only stage 2 prostate cancer had proton which hits the target without damaging other organs then l was put on Zoladex for 3years if you can have proton
treatment it is more powerful than radiotherapy l refused this treatment because of the damage it does and l don’t regret going to Prague l haven’t looked back since my treatment 4 years ago
I had to pay for the proton treatment as the nhs or the consultant wouldn’t allow me to have treatment in Prague ( he just wanted to play with his hi tech toys and cut out the prostate ( which could and most probably lead to a life of incontinance ) when l had the treatment and returned to my local hospital l happened to see a doctor who was understanding and allowed me the Zoladex on the NHS for 3 years but it was a long fight to get ( as these injections are £240 each Good Luck for the future
Hi RGD115 how much was the proton beem therapy, I'm in the UK so not far away but been on the NHS not sure what say I have with regards to the treatment on offer, sure I could say no but depending on costs pay for the proton.
Best I could hope for on the NHS is to have both radiotherapy & start on Casodex or Lupron.
In Prague it costs £18500.00 that was my pension money gone and my new Audi but my wife said she couldn’t manage without me if you think this is within your means look them up on you tube and internet
all the best for you and your family ( ps if you think they can help you they do a consultation for about £90 )
