My puppy deserves more
I began my journey to quit killing myself ten days ago and flushed them killer fags down the toilet. Two days went by and I found every excuse in the world why it would be better if I quit "later" like tomorrow or on the weekend or maybe after church on Sunday would be the best time to quit so I like

Health scare
Hi All, I'll try and keep this short :-) About 3 1/2 months ago I started to loose my voice. I had no sore throat or any symptoms of a cold etc. I decided to see my GP as after 10 days I could hardly talk. I was then 'fast tracked' to see a specialist within a couple of days. I was given an operation

Stopping smoking while suffering from anxiety...:-(
Hi! I'm 56 years old. I've smoked, on and off, since about 19. Gave up completely when pregnant and nursing, and smoked very little when the kids were small. Then my nervous breakdown hit, and the daily couple of cigarettes turned into twenty a day, because of my anxiety. Help!! Now I've really got something

Almost at 6 months and stopped the NRT
Hi Lovely People On the 12th July I will be at 6 months. What a battle this has been but so worth it. NRT patches, gums and dissolvable strips have really helped me disassociate from physically lighting up. I've let myself have as much or as little as I wanted. Just stop the cravings. One week ago I

Trouble Breathing
Hi everyone I have been trying to stop smoking now for the past 10 years and managed to quit for 5 months last year but then lost my job and did the worst thing ever and started smoking again due to the stress. I now have another job and have gone back to the quit clinic and started a course of champix

Having troubles sleeping any advice?
So I'm new to this site, I recently quit smoking 6/06/15 I decided to quit because I kept getting some pretty bad throat problems, where after smoking for a few days my throat would start hurting extremely bad to the point where it hurt to swallow, so I decided enough is enough and I quit cold turkey

16 months !!
Hi everyone, it's been ages since I have been on this site but I wanted you all to know that I am a non smoker!!! 16 months now since I gave up and it's not been easy. I put on weight, developed borderline diabetes etc but I can honestly ask myself why I didn't give up sooner. there are no smelly clothes

Hi everyone, I gave up smoking 2 weeks and 4 days ago. I was really poorly with a chest infection and I was really scared with the wheezing in my chest, that I thought "why the hell " am I still trying to inhale nicotine, so I've gone cold turkey since then. I feel so much better, no wheezing at all

Still going strong! (Cold and flu feelings :( )
So I quit cold turkey halfway through Monday, It's friday now and I'm still going great! I'm not longer getting quite so emotional or fidgety, and in fact things feel great! I took a cd out of the cd player and realised I could smell the heat of the cd and the player, and I was like "Woah!", then I ran

Smoke smell on others after quitting
Hi everyone. I need some advice. I have quit smoking by using a e cig and going to a hypnotherapy session. I was a heavy smoker of 40 a day and have now not touched a cigarette for 3 months. However, I have the most huge cravings sometimes but I bash them away and power through! My question is this

These craving weaken as the date when I last put a white stick in my mouth and lit it get further and further away. "Do I want just one more to see, one more wont

Quitting can be easy, ish..lol
The key is to remove your desire to smoke. Allen carr's easy way to quit smoking explains it very well. Also I realised that the withdawral is nothing more than a very mild version of a hangover. And if you can cope with a hangover for a couple of days without having a drink to delay the hangover then
