Hi guys sorry haven't been on for a while been busy with work and planning my wedding that itself has been very stressful. I've been on nrt for 4 months as u know after 7 weeks I had reaction to patches so I'm just on the quick mist 1 mg when was really stressed I upped my sprays to 3 sprays an hour when I say an hour sometimes it be longer than that but Ive lowers myself down to mainly 2 sprays with the odd occasional 3 sprays depending on how I'm feeling let's just say it's been a emotional roller coaster up an down :-(. When I go my in laws an see them smoking or smell it I still want one how after 4 months can I still lie the smell an feel like them? I'm 30 an smoked since I was 17 I smoked 16 a day but I'm worried I'm addicted to the quick mist will I ever feel ready with no nicotine wish I had the self esteem an will power to go cold turkey but I haven't

Hi lleanne,

You truly are doing very well with your quit.

Try changing the way that you think in terms of quitting smoking and see yourself as a non smoker and doing everything you possibly can for your future health.

In my opinion, it doesnt matter if you are using nrt or quitting cold turkey, It comes down to your thinking.

Believe that you can and you will :) :) - see cravings as your body repairing from the cigarettes.

You have come this far Leanne, and every week, it just gets easier and you grow stronger by the day...Keep up the great quit you have going :) :)

Hey, you have done so well 4 months is amazing, and you should be proud of yourself.

Hubby has been using an ecig for 3 years and is health insurance wise classed as a non smoker as he still uses his ecig but with 0 nicotine in his juice.

Don't be to hard on yourself and think of your wedding day smoke free and how beautiful you will look and smell minus the white tube x

Aup Leanne, 4 months quit now then gal, thats just soooooper :) :)

I am still vaping on my e-cig and I am 1 Year quit now, sooo, dont you worry about using the quick mist mouth spray :) although saying that, I am cutting down on using it now, but there again, I'm not getting married in the near future :o :D sooooo, I would suggest you keep using it until after you've got married eh :) less stress and all that :)

I live with 2 smokers who smoke in the house and although I dont like the smell of stale smoke, I still like the smell of fresh smoke :o

Stay strong and positive Leanne cos your doing ever so well :) and when the time comes for you to get rid of the mouth spray, you will know that you are stronger :) and we will help you if we can :)

If I dont see you before, have a lovely wedding and HAY, we want some flippin pics too gal :) :)

Yeah, I know just what you mean Leanne, but as time goes on, it will get easier and easier for you :) as I have said, I live with 2 smokers and still have a crafty sniff now and again :o :D :D but it dosnt get to me like it used too :) probably cos I know myself that I just dont want to smoke again :)

Yes, Leanne, stop doubting yourself, try to believe in what you can achieve, keep telling yourself, YOU WILL DO IT :) and look forwards to a bright and healthy new smokefree future :) :)

Hi Leanne I agree with monky, just carry on as you are doing really well 😀😀

Look your not putting 4000 toxins in your body every time you use your spray so don't worry..... get your wedding sorted, enjoy the day and then think about the next step 😀😀

It's on 6th August lol an I know just my confidence that I can stay quit isn't very good right now I spoke to my quit smoking advisor about going back to see about cognitive therapy again but more intense one see if that will help ad so hard to reassure myself specially when everywhere I turn people smoking an I can't stay on quick mist forever though an there only set period the quit smoking service can give u just worried that when weaned off the mist no nicotine altogether I will start smoking again x

Try not to worry about when ya finish quick mist and I know that's easier said than done. Take each day as it comes and I can imagine you're stressed out with it all. You can always pop a nicorette gum or mint in your pocket for extra reassurance. Deep breathing really does help calm the situation. Give yourself a pat on the back as you've come along way and there ain't no stopping ya now. You CAN do it, 1 step at a time👍😊 I'm sending you calming hugs to help hun 😊x

Leanne how will you feel if you back to smoking.... and think of the increased risk to your outfit not only to dropped ash but possibly a bit of the flame... don't smoke then there are two things you don't need to worry about 😆😆😆😆

Hi again Leanne, I see the gals have given you some flippin excellent advice :) :)

Please, please try not to worry about coming off the mouth spray yet :o you just keep telling that mr nic to go away, cos you already got a hubby to be eh :) :)

Leanne, the mouth spray only gives you nicotine, BUT the cigs give you over 4.000 other toxins too :o and I tell you gal, you just dont want to know what they are :o !!

Ok, Leanne, your going through a hard patch at the moment :( but try to think positive and stay focused and it will pass soon :) :)

Hey Leanne, lovely to hear from you 😄

You have been given more than plentiful of sound advice from all above (thank you everyone xx) I also have to agree strongly with Linda (Glolin) in that it most definitely comes down to your thinking 😳 It is really important for you , especially at this stage to stay as positive as possible 😇

When somebody gives up smoking, it is them who give up, not every other smoker around them and as you are finding out, the smokers around you may prefer to continue to smoke 😳 This is something that you have to deal with and work at becoming stronger on. Now, the time that you feel this may seem a bit far away but it can be done 👏👍😉

Why would you want to go back to smoking and put yourself through all this again? 😳

We have every ounce of faith in you,and will be right here for you every step of the way 👍

Hi Leanne, don't be worrying about using your spray- it's got to be better than smoking.

As for still wanting a ciggie, I would give anything for one at times- and I'm further on than you. So don't worry about feeling like you might relapse, I'm sure lots of us do that.

But you've done four months so keep that in your mind- you don't want to go through that quit again.

I've resigned myself that I'll always have cravings and once I accepted that I'm not as worried that I'll relapse.

You're doing just great, ignore the smokers around you and be pleased your free of the addiction.

Kas
