Do fibroids need a biopsy
Hi, After several months of constipation, abdominal and back pain, my doc sent me for an ultrasound scan. At the scan, i was told I had a fibroid and not to worry. It was said in such a throwaway manner that it doesn’t sit right with me. Ok, if I have fibroids, then fine- but can they really tell

Fibroids and bleeding
I’ve been diagnosed with fibroids and waiting to see the gynaecologist, but the bleeding is so horrific I can’t leave the house and this means not getting to my office. I also travel with work. Is there anything at all that helps slow or stop bleeding? It’s just so heavy constantly. Any help appreciated

Induction at 38 weeks due to IVF? pros and cons?
Hey, looking for some insight really. My consultant advised early induction at 38 weeks simply due to the fact baby was conceived via IVF. Her reasoning was that the NHS have a campaign currently to reduce the number of still births and whilst all babies are precious given this could be our only chance

Fibroids seen with ultrasound but not hysteroscopy
Has anybody had any experience of this? I'm 51 and was diagnosed with 4 fibroids last November from an internal ultrasound and then the same was confirmed with an external ultrasound in January. The largest fibroid was 4.5cm but in both cases they said the endometrium didn't seem very thick. This was

Early onset placental insufficiency (currently 22 weeks)
Hi everyone We’ve been told our baby is measuring small (around 5th centile overall) and the likely cause is early onset placental insufficiency. We are being scanned regularly and they will do a C-section when they think is the right time. They are fairly sure the baby will be premature due to its size

Mirena help-post coital bleeding
Hey, I’ve had the Mirena coil in place for over 5 months. I’m bleeding a lot more and currently on day 19. Any break I get we manage some intimacy ( carefully as can be very painful) and afterwards I’m back to bleeding. I’ve had enough of having to wear tampons 24/7. I’m spending more time bleeding

Elleste solo 2mg- manufacturers issue...what is the equivalent
Hi all Ive been on elleste solo 2mg since having my total hysterectomy and oopherectomy and have had no problem with it. My chemist now says they cannot get it and after ringing other chemists in my area have been told that it is unavailable due to manufacturing issues. I have even tried online chemists

Frozen transfer meds
Wondering if anyone could advise, will be having frozen ET this month and have been given Progynova to take, and been told cyclogest pessaries, however when I paid initially for meds at the start of the ivf I had got lubion injections. Is there any reason I wouldn’t be using these for the frozen transfer

Egg Transferred
We had our transfer today. I was so nervous. Not about the procedure but the outcome of the eggs. Unlike for what I gather many clinics do, the clinic we are using doesn’t give you a daily progress update so the last we heard was last Thursday (4 out of 5 eggs fertilised). At that time they put us straight

Just diagnosed - vasculitis GPA
Hi, I am so glad I've found this site as I am just at the start of my vasculitis journey and from what I read, seen and heard I will need all the help I can get. I suspect my immune system got triggered when I donated blood in August 2018 - I got really sick during the process. Nothing unusual, it happens

Advice on next steps
We had our review at care yesterday after our first ivf which was nhs funded. Although I got a bfn we were lucky enough to have a grade 1 frozen embryo. I am 40 with a amh of 6.6. I asked if rather than going into the fet if we could do a fresh cycle... my thinking being I am getting older and if the

Anyone have ET diagnosis with normal BMB
I've posted a few times and still in no man's land (hopefully it will get better on my second haem appointment on 22nd). So far: ET possible - no secondary causes for thrombocytosis (everything normal which is great) ;platelets hovering around 500; previous pulmonary embolism at age 18 - 20 years ago

Utterly devasted and heartbroken 💔💔
As many of you will know I went in for my scan today and was nervous due to a previous mmc. I'm 7 +5 and doctor said I'm measuring 6+2 however there is no heartbeat and at this point we should be hearing a heartbeat. He has told me to go in for a scan next Wednesday and be prepared for a mc and book

Fibroids ?!
I have recently been diagnosed with uterine fibroids aswel as having endometriosis (diagnosed 2year ago). The fibroids wasn’t there when I had my laparoscopy so they have arrived during the past 2years. Does anyone else have them? If so, have they come because of the Endo? And what problems has anyone
