fibroids

Good that you have an appointment with your doctor. What happens next depends on where the fibroids are, how large and what the treatment options are.
I had a hysterectomy done several years ago now for a fibroid and had my ovaries removed at the same time. Some doctors don't like removing ovaries because they still produce some hormones. However I then took HRT for ten years to offset the possible side effects. It is major surgery and takes time to recover from.
I suggest that you prepare a list of questions to ask your doctor including what options are there for treatment, is the pain I am experiencing related to the fibroids, or likely to be. Are both ovaries affected or just one, etc.
Hope it works out and that you are able to find the best way forward for you.
Have you looked into embolisation. I was able to have this with large fibroids and avoided hystectomy. If they offer you Prostap to shrink them please do your homework on it as it has left people with many problems. Good luck x
