Fibroids ?!

I have recently been diagnosed with uterine fibroids aswel as having endometriosis (diagnosed 2year ago). The fibroids wasn’t there when I had my laparoscopy so they have arrived during the past 2years. Does anyone else have them? If so, have they come because of the Endo? And what problems has anyone had with them??

Thankyou xxxx

Hi..I had fibroids alongside the endo so opted for a hysterectomy as the bleeding was uncontrollable in the end. I just felt sick with knowing those things were growing inside me. The hyst stopped the bleeding but my pain has continued so now have to have ovaries out. Good luck with it all x

Hi thanks for replying. I’m sorry you are still having the pain. I’m only 21 so hysterectomy isn’t really an option for me as I hope to have children but the bleeding and pain is just getting out of control each month. Was you ever given to option to have them removed? I’m booked back in to see what options I have but it’s so draining!! X

Hi No it wasnt really an option as the endo was on my pouch of douglas and was causing severe pain too so as I was 40 and I had already had an ablation which helped for 2 years they suggested the hyst. I just wish the ovaries were removed at the same time as now have to go thru another op. Thats awful that you are so young. I always had heavy painful periods but thought it was the norm. Managed to have 2 kids although getting pregnant the second time around took 2 years. Hopefully they can remove them for you or isnt there a drug that can shrink them? Good luck with it all. Xx

Hi Meghxx, I have similar struggles to yourself. I am on a waiting list to have my fibroids removed and dye test to rule out endometriosis. My symptoms are alwful and I feel they are getting worse with newer symptoms arising. For example every month I have a week of spotting and then my period. My period is just awful. I suffer with vomiting, nausea, gas pains and feeling like I have trapped wind, I’ve started getting acid reflux too. The cramps are unreal and nothing I take resolves the pain. I have been told I have a 5cm cyst on my ovary and fibroids growing on the inside of my womb. I came on here today to search for answers because I had been to a personal training session tonight and I’ve come home to fresh blood and cramps. I’m not due on for another week and am TTC. This will be my third year TTC. With no success
