Alzheimer’s and low FT3
Any info please 😀 I feel like I’ve just stumbled on to something revolutionary for my Dad. Diagnosed as having Alzheimer’s but 10yrs later he’s not presenting as expected ie he puzzles the Drs as he’s still so ‘well’ and no liaisons on his brain. What if it’s low FT3. I’m getting both my parents private

Update: 6 Months Since My Open Myomectomy
I really can’t believe it’s 6 month since my last op and I’m still having so many issues. This has had such a major impact on my life it’s unbelievable. There’s been no increase in my eating habits, no decrease of my digestive issues and pain is yo-yoing daily so the battle is still on. It’s a bit hard

I have Idiopathic

Is the Lovenox Anti Xa test the same as the Heparin Xa test?
Went to the lab yesterday 4 hours after I did my injection. They pulled up a bunch of Xa assays on the computer and showed me the screen. I selected the Heparin Assay, as I didn't see the Lovenox one. I had a stroke in February caused by a bleed. Instead of an INR, my hematologist ordered a Lovenox Anti

Relative in ICU
The doctor said it looks a lot like
pulmonary
fibrosis
. At his age, I know that any type of medical condition should be taken very seriously, and obviously his condition now is very serious because he’s in the ICU, but what should I expect? Will I ever get to talk to him normally again?

Lung Volume Reduction Surgery looming
Hi all, I am undergoing tests for LVRS eligibility with one more to go. I have 21% lung function with 44% O2 getting to my tissues. I am told LVRS will help my breathlessness but am scared to death of the op as my friend only lasted two weeks after having it done. I know everyone is different but that

Working with the pain
Hi everyone, So I haven't yet been diagnosed officially, still waiting on a date for my lap, so in the meantime I'm just trying to get on with things but finding it really difficult. I'm 21 and work 6 days a week as a tattoo apprentice, so it's pretty vital for me to feel alright at work (I do not intend

Adenomyosis
I am currently seeing a gynae about Adenomyosis. He has suggested a total hysterectomy including removing my ovaries. Is it necessary to remove my ovaries as well? I have 3 children and will not be having anymore children.

No gestational sac @ 5 weeks
Hello, I’ve been being monitored by the hospital due to moderate late onset OHSS and yesterday I was 5 wks (as per an online ivf calculator) and they couldn’t quite work out a definite gestational sac, only a possible one of roughly 2.5mm.. My hcg is 3568, 16dp5dt raised from 325 on 9dp5dt so they want

Do fibroids need a biopsy?
Hi, After several months of constipation, abdominal and back pain, my doc sent me for an ultrasound scan. At the scan, i was told I had a fibroid and not to worry. It was said in such a throwaway manner that it doesn’t sit right with me. Ok, if I have fibroids, then fine- but can they really tell
