#WellnessWednesday: I Went to Talk Therapy for OCD and it did NOT Work. Why?
This is also known as Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Therapy or general
psychotherapy
. The goal of this treatment is to achieve insight into the underlying nature of the presenting problem.

Just need some encouraging words
Had some much
psychotherapy
that I am running out of counselors. Am currently on my fourth week of TMS which I had to fight to have approved by my insurance carrier. No social support group and no family left and almost no finances.

Don't wake the monsters - risks of therapy and meditation

Today, I was dumped by my Life Coach!
I've already been through more than forty years of
Psychotherapy
! I worked so hard in therapy, sometimes going three times a week. I've also tried bodywork, NLP, re-birthing, Radix, and many other forms of healing. I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Major Depression.

lithium and bipolar 2
I have had psychiatric treatment with medication and
psychotherapy
that has kept me well enough. During my treatment about 7 years ago I was put on Lithium, a powerful mood stabiliser and antipsychotic.

Thinking about a second baby after PPP with my first
I have weekly
psychotherapy
sessions, and I'm awaiting some EDMR therapy too. I'm tempted to contact the local Perinatal mental health team again, see if they have any advice for preconception anxiety after PPP? Thanks for reading x

I can't function well enough to arrange stuff like the job interview and going to the psychiatrist
I was researching psychiatrists and i found a nice lady in university city that specialises in anxiety and has even studied
psychotherapy
. But i need to ask my doctor for insurance so i can visit this doctor tomorrow without having to pay (i don't even know if mom paid my insurance).

Rejection Sensitivity
I have had quite a bit of therapy in the past (
psychotherapy
, CBT,
Psychotherapy
group, Drama and Music therapy), but that was all over 10 years ago and more recently I have had counselling.

Looking for answers
I prefer to find a psychiatrist who does in person
psychotherapy
. I did see a psychiatrist, but they just wanted to prescribe meds. Has anyone else had a bad reaction to methylprednisolone?

New to forum - my story
Started
psychotherapy
proper today (I was with a counsellor before - nice guy but not really able to provide what I needed in terms of tools) and that was good - but scary.

Has anyone here gotten weight restored on their own without going to a nutritionist or eating disorder center?
They have never helped me as far as yes they help me gain the weight but then I don't end up getting my mind changed any even with all the
psychotherapy
so it ends up doing me no good.

My son is 7 and the start of this school year has been rough. In the past there have been a few school incidents but overall when I would talk to his teachers they would say that he’s well liked and they don’t see too many symptoms in the classroom. He has had a couple incidents in the past at recess
