Brachytherapy boost HDR vs LDR +/- ADT
A bit of my background: 50 years old, Gleason score of 4+3, a
PSA
of 11, decipher is low, and possible extracapsular extension. 1) I know what LDR and HDR do, but what are the differences in terms of their long-term side effects?

Please advice
My latest
PSA
on 6/11/24 was 1.06 up from 0.65 on 4/2/24. I have a meeting with my MO on 4/26 to discuss the next step. I was taking Opdivo immunotherapy from 2/2023 to 2/2024 for bladder cancer. so far my bladder cancer is in check so now I can focus on my PCA. Should I get a PSMA pet?

PSA rise from initial Pluvicto treatment
I am curious if most of you that have been through Pluvicto experienced a
PSA
rise initially? I just finished my first injection, and did see a bit of a jump in
PSA
level. I had a similar experience in the SPLASH trial last year. After the first Lu177 injection, my
PSA
shot up quite a lot.

PSA after Biopsy
I've heard that the biopsy procedure (14 cores) can elevate future
PSA
results. What is the recommended number of days or weeks to pass before scheduling a follow up
PSA
test? Thank you!

UPDATE on my dad. A story of hope.❤️ #advancedPC
He said your dads
PSA
is at 0.031 and is still dropping. The
PSA
has been consistently low for almost 2 years. He said your dad had a really bad cancer and to keep doing whatever we were doing at home.

PSA analysis 6 months after radiation
At 3 months post radiation
PSA
and Testosterone were not detectable. It is my understanding that the lingering effect of Lupron on reducing
PSA
could last up to at least double the time you were on Lupron.

Whats high PSA? ( when you havent been diagnosed with prostate cancer)
Several family member went and tested themselves with
PSA
tests. My husband was 39 years old and his
PSA
test came back 1,9 and this year at 40 years his
PSA
was 1,6, free
PSA
added 0,4 ( which was good). I read somewhere that
PSA
1,5 and higher is of concern.

PSA now undetectable with 2 of 35 radiation treatments left.
PSA
now undetectable with 2 of 35 radiation treatments left to complete. I will start Abiraterone next week, in addition to the Lupron I’m currently on. I’m celebrating today’s victory and wanted to share here. Of course, many days have been consumed with worry over the unknown.

Rising PSA … Clear PSMA SCAN
At first it brought
PSA
down but now it is up to 6.5 His last PSMA SCAN was in October when
PSA
was 4.3 Next PSMA scan is mid January. Aggarwal says
PSA
# is no longer of much value. The scans are what we will now go by. It’s obvious The Lupron/NUBEQA isn’t working.

Orgyvx + alternative treatment
On Feb 13, I meet my oncologist and my hope is that my
PSA
will continue to drop. He doesn't approve of this procedure. Time will tell. The 2" diameter met on my breast is gone which I base my hope that this is working.

Dad 2nd BCR. Advice needed...
He has been off ADT for 1 year when
PSA
began to rise again. From 0.01 to 0.03 in less than 2 months then 0.05 after another 3 months. Is this indicative of an aggressive progression and metastasis?

Now what? Second go-around of docetaxel not responding.
PSA
was driven down to 2.0 from 76 with 1st 6 rounds of docetaxel. Zytiga drove
PSA
down again to 3.0 from 14.
PSA
began rising early this year from 7.5 in January to 36 in June. Started Docetaxel in July but
PSA
has not budged.

Brachyboost and PSA progression free survival question
PSA
progression free survival as per Japanese trial as well as ASCENDE RT Canadian trial for this particular scenario is about 10-15% at 10 years.” The progression free survival rate seems very low at 10 years.

Testosterone increase after injection
My
PSA
remained the same at 0.1 . Is this normal for my testosterone to jump 48 points. Oncologist says he is more concerned with my
PSA
. Also the injection of the Camcevi was in my lower belly and let a lump. Thank you.

Should I be concernedPSA rising from 0.3 to 0.40
after being undetectable for ~ 5 years my
PSA
became detectable 0.10 in July. In October I was retested and my
PSA
was 0.30 . In early November I had a PSMA-Pet scan which was negative. Today I was retested with a result of 0.40. How soon should I followup with my MO?

Getting on with life.
My prostate has been removed, my
psa
is rising. I am not on medication. Basically, just getting on with life. Refusing to let this nonsense get me down. Thoughts anyone ?
